I will be honest about S3
It is the worst 2 episodes i ever played. It was stupid how Kenny died. I was expecting he would die but not like this. Also we played with Clem a little. I am really disappointed. I like Javier character but he is not Clem. I don't know but it could have been better. At least i wasn't expect it.

So basically what everyone's been saying. Not saying the complaints aren't justified.
Well... I just played and i didn't read what the others said. So i wanted to write my OWN reviews.
I get that but currently the forum is less than positive at the moment with people not liking the episodes' length, flashbacks, certain characters dying, Clementine's attitude. None of these I have a real issue with. The only complaint I do have is yea I kinda wish Clem was more playable.
I love the season so far but it sucks you and many others don't. I still feel people are overreacting but I can't change people's opinions.
That's exactly right. Javier isn't Clementine and he shouldn't have to be. People should like him or dislike him based on his own character, not just because he isn't Clementine. Clementine got a chance to grow and so should Javier without being compared to her or living in her shadow.
Really hard to do when you're continuing a series. I think a lot of the problems people have with him would remain, but the reception would definitely be less polarizing among the players had this simply been a new franchise.
I'm gonna be honest here too. These two episodes are better than all over S2 combined. Javier is exactly what we needed but you know, people complain when we play as Clem, they complain when we don't.
And Kenny's death (as well as Jane's) was handled well imo. They're hardly gonna invest loads of time in a flashback when they're killing those characters off.
I'm just gonna take my unpopular opinions, my cinnamon role Javi, and sit over here.
Well I guess I'm one of the few who liked it more than Season 2 so far.
So far every season of TWD had a different player character and most of the characters of the previous season were gone quickly. I actually don't think it is very different in that regard. The only constant is Clem.
These 2 episodes alone were better than whole season 2.
She might be the most well known character in the series, but people have to adapt and realize that the Walking Dead series is not solely a Clem franchise. I'd hate to have anyone around here play the Dragon Age series considering there's a different lead character in every game.
I'm just hoping that in EP 3 - 5 we can play more as Clem, I do like the new characters but their not Clem.
Plus does anyone know why telltale seems to hate Kenny so much?
The only thing, that really let me feel like "this is really the walking dead",
was the flashbacks, or all these moments with Clem at the center.
When I saw Jane, Kenny, or alone Clem with AJ, I felt like it was "this series that i played two years ago".
After this, i did not feel anything like that, it was... diffrent story, characters, nothing that was make me feel...nostalgic?
i HOPE YOU GET ME
Good ol Dragon Age, perfect example of why you don't have one of your main characters options at the end of the game being to die if you have any plans for a continuance lol. To be fair the game would have stood perfectly well as a stand alone story, though. The generally poor reception of 2 and Hawke killed that poor guys chance early on, they even shelved a planned major expansion to roll it into Inquisition. I'm not sure Bioware is the best example for comparison, its usually the companions who draw fanfare as opposed to main characters. I still remember the backlash over Wrex and Ashley's roles in 2.
True, though Clem was central throughout both seasons and Kenny was introduced pretty early on in both. I actually liked Clems involvement in episode 1, and some of Javiers interactions with the new characters. Episode 2 felt really poorly done all around though. They should have just left it all in one episode.
why do you think that?
if anything, i think they love him too much.
At the end of the day kenny should never died and on top of it u still don't know if aj alive or not cause u see him only in flash backs and clem should been the playable character in the beginning not this new character personally I don't think forntier that good of game telltale basically killed every one that was close to clementine kenny is my favorite
Ironically, Hawke is my favorite BioWare lead character.
Sarcastic Hawke was fun as hell to play as. Might just be the nostalgia but I'm still partial to pre-TOR Revan.
I feel that there were good moments and bad moments....like scattered throughout both episodes.
I feel like s1 and s2 did a good job at ending their episodes with good cliffhangers that made me want to watch the next episode..these ones are just.......
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz like i literally don't care.
Definitely. Sarcastic Hawke is perfect when you're romancing Isabela like i did.
Well Kenny leaving was the more satisfying ending to season 2 and made the most sense story wise but this is still stupid as fuck. This makes me so glad I picked that over Kenny randomly dying just to move the plot forward because having Kenny appear in season 3 if you picked "Staying with Kenny" ending would be way to much work. Hes appeared in more episodes then anyone beside Clem, At least give him a satisfying death. This is honestly laughable.
That's definitely a good fit. Thinking about the dialogue reminds me of how great the party banter was when I took Merrill with Isabella and Varric. That poor girl just did not get sarcasm, and they knew it lol.
