Telltale could learn from Until Dawn

After playing ANF and being a fan of TWD series i feel that Telltale could learn about making choice matter from the PS4 game "Until Dawn" that is a game that certainly makes choices matter and the the endings reflect the players ability to actually have choices that make the game what it is VS Telltale who ultimately merge the game into the same thing for everyone regardless of choice.

  • i miss the days of season 1

  • What makes Until Dawn great, there's no sequel to piss fans off if who they saved was dead in the canon story, because they couldn't figure a way to make the multiple endings work for everyone. If a company is going to create a sequel, then the ending of the first game shouldn't have a critical choice like TWD: Season 2. TWD: Season 1 worked, because no matter what, Lee died. People had to move past that heartbreak.

  • They'd have to learn how to not make follow ups if they did that though. Choices generally only matter for one game.

  • I agree. Until Dawn also used a lot of split second decisions when it came to combat and movement that truly tested your decision making skills, like when Mike can save Jessica if he moves fast enough. I feel like these smaller and subtler decisions keep you on edge and feeling like choice truly matters, as opposed to being a tank of a human who presses "X" and "O" every now and again.
