It should have at least been reversed...
So, if we aren't going to play as Clementine in season 3, then we could have sacrificed not playing her in season 2, because I would of definitely prefered to play as her in season 3 instead. She's older, more badass, her choices would matter more, it would be more realistic and make sense rather than how it was in season 2 when she was younger. I would have rather played as somebody else beside her and taken care of her for another season like in season 1, because she was still rather young, but now... She's turned into a completely amazing character...and we can't even play her!! And don't get me wrong, Javier is alright but these are my thoughts. And also, I did love playing as her in last season, but just saying that, because if the situation we're in right now. What are your thoughts? 
AND btw I think the new season will be amazing. Its great so far. Glad I got to play it, and Idk why people are complaining so much, but anyways...

A main problem season 2 had was exactly that. She was too young for the story they created around her and for us to play as another character (or even to play a story completely separated from her line) would make more sense. I agree, now (or during a season 4… maybe) would be the best moment to play as her.
But, something I always wanted to see since the end of season 1 (and I was kind of hoping for season 2) was to see what would Clem become. After all the moments with Lee, after all he taught her and with her own experiences, what would she turn into. So, from this point of view, I’m happy that we may finally see it.
I would have really liked to have played as clementine at the point she's at now in the story and also still play as Javier. The unrealistic hope is that perhaps telltale will decide to give clementine more time as a playable character than just a side character.
I really hope not. This kind of thing constantly breaks immersion.
I did not like playing as clementine in season 2 and I prefer Javier PC.... look at how much better the story is with the wife and the brother..
I think it can be done well as in Tales from the borderlands. The problem is telltale wants Javier as the main playable character and also have clementine just for fan appeal
I agree that it can be done well and Tales is certainly the best example of it, but, personally, I like to play games like TWD as myself, not just roleplay it, and the multi-characters approach kills this.
But I agree with your conclusion too. That’s how TT is handling it.
