It reminds me of that choice in episode 4 of Batman. You all know the one. "I don't want any trouble," turning into... something else.

Except, you know, that one made sense. I think Javier was working through some issues here.

  • After seeing Kate's reaction when you tell David off i don't think she's completely trustworthy and will lie to save herself if push comes to shove. In a way it kinda shows you how Kate is when put on the spotlight like that.

  • I feel like the more appropriate dialogue choice would be "Attempt to ruin your brother's marriage" rather than "Tell him off." That's more accurate than what we actually got.

I know all about marriage and if she was joking she has very poor taste in jokes. You don't grab someone's hand like she did and look into their eyes and expect them to think you're not serious. They played that scene as a flirtatious scene initiated by her and if she wasn't serious she should have never flirted to begin with. I guess if you choose to kiss her and she clearly kisses you back in the first episode she'll just chalk that up to venting and joking too.

Because she didn't say that she was leaving him. She joked about having a fresh start, and vented a little because she trusted Javier. Javie

  • I stuck with the choice, but even wanting to be antagonistic toward David that response took me aback. Hope it doesn't become a trend, because I'm one of those neurotic people that will exit to the menu and replay a whole scene just to fix one dialogue option I didn't like. Also happened after the tunnel when picking 'Don't worry about her' (because Clem is tough, I assumed it would say) comes out as, 'She's not our problem anymore' for whatever reason.

  • I'm pretty much of the same mind as many of you - I mistakenly chose it because it's misleading and ended up with something that was nothing like what I wanted to say. I thought about going back and redoing it there, but figured it wasn't going to make much of a difference in the end. Now imagine my reaction at the end of the episode - I think I'm going to go back and play through it again now...

  • Well Kate does have a dark sense of humor, I mean she did joke about leaving Gabe on the side of the road.

  • This happens all the time RPG and others which you can choose what to say.

You chose a line...then he/she says an entirely different thing from the stuff you hand in your mind.

    So frustrating !!!

  • I have never been for "petitions" but in this case Telltale really needs to rethink this exchange. The tell him off option was horrendous. Tell him off should just be simply that - telling his ass off. No need to drag Kate into it.

The option to say your wife wants to leave you could be a third option.
