How I think Season 3/ A New Frontier could improved upon
So, as all know by now, lots of people have a lot of problems with S3/ANF's premiere 2 episodes. Most of it being 3 things, the treatment of the Season 2's alternate endings, short Clem's playtime to being about 10 minutes for both episodes, and the length. So here I'll give what I think can be done to improve on this game for myself and others. I would like to stress that this is my first time making a thread like so forgive me if it's a little disjointed, and this my first trying to think of solutions as opposed to let's just see where it goes attitude for me.
First, let's start with the treatment of Kenny, Jane, and Wellington: Unfortunately, their fates are set in stone and there nothing that can be done about that. However I think on whoever you chose should affect Clem's personality. I'll give an example of each.
Kenny: If Clem decided leave Wellington with Kenny and AJ, it shows that family means very much to her. So, while we play as Javier, she could be more understanding and willing to help save Javier's family since she wasn't able to save her own. Like Clem could be more understanding in EP3 if you chose to let Conrad take her hostage and hand her over to the New Frontier. She would still be pissed, but she would forgive a lot sooner than say if Clem was alone by the end of Season 2. Another one could be at the end of EP1 Clem could stress that she'll handle the New Frontier on her own so Javier can keep his family safe.
Jane: If Clem had decided to go with Jane she could be more cold and distrusting of strangers, considering that the family that she let in or not stole half of their food. This Clem also would be her group above everything else as well. So she would be more willing to leave people behind if it meant keeping the whole group safe. This Clem wouldn't really care about people's sob stories as well since the family that she could've let in or not betrayed her.
Wellington: This one's a little tougher than the other 2. It's still similar to the Kenny one since you can only get it if you stay with Kenny. But I think this one can show Clem telling Javier to leave his family if it meant they'd be safe, Like how Kenny got Clem and AJ inside the place since there wasn't enough room for all of them. Clem also would not try to get too attached to people so she wouldn't have to go through that tearful goodbye with Kenny.
Alone with AJ: This could be the default Clem we have now, but if I do think of something for this one, I'll update in the comments.
Second on the list, more playable Clementine. Since this season was announced, we were told that Clem would be the second playable protagonist along with Javier. People were upset understandably so. Thankfully, most have seem to take a liking to Javier and enjoy him as a protagonist. The way I would make Clem more playable is whenever Clem and Javier are separated somehow, determintely like the end of EP2. Now instead of say always starting off as Javier. EP3 could start off as Clem watches the situation of Javier seeing his brother again. After she's done watching them(Here comes some theory suggestions) Clem begins to infiltrate Richmond looking for AJ, and as soon she finds him, we go back to Javier and his problems. And the way we would control when they're together is during her flashbacks. After each flashback Clem is playable for a certain amount of time until something important happens with Javier, then we'll cut back to him and play as him again. This would also allow Javier to be an NPC for a bit while Clem is the one walking in hubs and solving puzzles and vice versa. So in short, like from Tales From The Borderlands.
Third on final thing on the list, the episode lengths. I feel this problem is the easiest to fix out of all. Adding more hubs like back in Season 1 where we can talk to each of the characters and see what they're all about. Instead of the hubs we now which when there is already dialogue in place as soon as you walk up to them. Again I don't see much of a detailed explanation this one since it doesn't seem to hard to figure out. I guess as a final thought to this is if the episode is well paced, the length doesn't have to be too long, TWDS1 EP5, TWAU EP5, and Batman EP5, were about an hour long but they're still very enjoyable.
Again, I would like to stress this is my first time really trying to do these kinds of threads, so some pointers would be appreciated if I ever decide to do this again. Finally, I would like to say you can post your ideas as well in this thread if you feel like it. So yeah, that's my two cents about this whole ordeal.

eh, it makes it seem like if you go with kenny = nice clem and going with jane = mean clem
Or practical vs. naive? There's two sides to all coins.
i'm just saying, going by their description, one is clearly painted in a better light than the other.
go with jane = uncaring, cold, distrusting
go with kenny = care for family, forgiving, trusting, understanding
Hate to say it, but it's kinda obvious that Kenny is more family orientated than Jane. Plus, considering the family screwed them over, I would think Clem wouldn't be as trusting or caring since the family played on those feelings. Again, not saying Jane is a terrible person, she isn't. But I do think she is more survival than than Kenny's family above everything personality. And in Kenny's endings she doesn't tricked by some fake family, so I think those parts in her personality would remain more prominent than in Jane's endings.
nice sarcasm.
my thing was that one was worded as being nicer than the other.
it's not exactly all that simple anyways, just because you left with kenny/jane, doesn't mean you're all those things.
and OP, i understand, and i hope i didn't come across as a jerk or anything. it's just the wording that made it seem one option was more favored than the other.
If you want flaws, I guess if you chose Kenny, Clem could be more rash and aggressive compared to Jane's calm and collected attitude.
To be fair, I do like Kenny way more than Jane. But I just tried to identify how Clem would change given in each situation.
