I love Season 3 so far. SPOILERS!!
I've seen a few complaints about the season but I honestly don't have any. Closest thing to criticism that I have is that the characters are sort of dying quickly. I would have liked to see Kate's daughter live longer, Conrad be developed more before we are put in the position to shoot him. Otherwise, I love how we play the flashbacks and the way they transition. The action and animation has improved a lot. A lot of good choices. Clementine still feels very much involved and important even though she isn't the playable as of yet, and I like Javi. The group is cool too.

Yeah! I feel the same way, I love the new characters. I like Kate and Gabe but I would love to have seen Mariana live longer. I do think that the episodes were a little short. But the story is amazing, Javier is amazing I love Tripp, Clementine has an amazing role. Love for season 3
I love it too despite its flaws.
To be fair, we've had less deaths in the first two episodes of S3 than we did in the first two episodes of S2.
In the first two episodes of S2, we lose Omid, Pete, Walter, and possibly Nick and Alvin. And Christa goes missing, too.
In the first two episodes of S3, we lose Mari and Conrad.
Don't forget the Prescott people
I think it's okay. There's been some improvements, such as the Walkers and the kills, and I think Javier's an alright protagonist, but there's also been a lot of downsides. The flashbacks, the treatment of Kenny/Jane, the pacing, the choices, some of the characters, the story being predictable and lacking much suspense, Gabe, typical "shock" deaths, etc.
But hey, it could be worse, I suppose...
I love playing as Javier, I thinks he pretty awesome and has cool skills too and is nice to look at! the only criticism I would have is the episodes should be longer.
I also like it so far most of the characters are ok and I try not to let my bias affect my decisions such as agreeing with Conrad's plan in my first playthrough, it just felt like the right decision in that moment. Flashback wasn't a problem beside loosing a finger, could have been a lot worse. My only gripes so far are the length of the episodes and choices disappearing in one of my save files.
