How the hell is he alive? He was bitten by Mariana's 'Pipo' in ep1 and should've been a walker if not dead by now!

Any theories? Does being in NF have more meanings than we know?

    No, David wasn't bit at all, the one that got bit was Hector.
    David left with his mother in his dad's car to take her to the hospital, and we assume for X reason they never regrouped again.

    I don't think is a theory, but pretty much call out that TTG is going to make him the antagonist, they didn't pull the whole "I am jealous of you, but I love you, here lemme punch you in the face again" for nothing.

    Not really. Usually being bit and to become a walker can take as long as a minute to even a couple days. If she hadn't died, it'd probably take a good couple of hours by which he probably had to abandon her due to being attacked by walkers/stuck in traffic, or notices she dies and has to shoot her. We'll find out soon enough

    You are talking about dying because of the infection.
    We are talking about turn into a zombie, turning can take seconds, or hours (In the game mostly seconds for plot sake), but for example Kenny and Jane in S2 probably took hours, at least more than 5 minutes.

    David wasn't bitten and we don't have any backstory as of yet, but it's obvious that Javi, Kate, Gabe and Mari all though he was dead. He must've survived somehow and been unable to find them (or perhaps he chose to go his own way).
