I assume you're talking about Lee. Thing is, I actually knew Lee's story. A lot of people knew Lee's story and we got to have our own thoughts and opinions on it.
.. You knew? You mean learned, right? As you played. I don't recall a pre-outbreak prologue, so how did you know his story before a single episode revealed any information? The game started in the back of a police car. Regardless, you still put yourself in "another persons shoes" (Lee's). That is what i mean by "you've been doing it from the start".
You could've truncated your post. Instead you keep going way off the rails to explain why you would choose Clementine over Gabe.. I don't care. I told you, I'm not criticizing your choice. I thought I had been very clear on that.
"It would be forcing myself to put myself in another person's shoes". You've been doing that since the start of this series. Obviously you o… moreverlooked that fact which is why I pointed it out.
I assume you're talking about Lee. Thing is, I actually knew Lee's story. A lot of people knew Lee's story and we got to have our own thoughts and opinions on it. At least a hell of a lot more than Javier's. I don't know a damn thing about Javier's story besides the most recent couple days in the apocalypse and day one of the outbreak. That's hardly anything compared to Lee or Clem. Has Javier had to sacrifice anything? Has he had to murder people? Did he ever have to lie to his loved ones to keep them safe? Did he ever put his own life in Jeopardy to care for someone else besides his family? I don't know. For all I know, they've been driving around in an RV for 4 years. Trust me, I want to care about Javy and his family. I really … [view original content]

We learned everything about Lee within the first half of the first episode, that's why I was able to put myself in his shoes. It's going to be episode 3 of season 3 and I will still barely know anything about Javier or his family. That's more than half the season. Shit, we see AJ for 6 minutes in flashbacks and I already know more about his backstory than Javy.
I'm not criticizing your choice. I thought I had been very clear on that.
Never said you did? Just explaining why I and most people choose Clem over Javy's family. And if you see that as going off the rails, even though that's what the thread's about, then so be it.

"..." [Let the timer ran out]
There's probably that third option where we don't do anything and we die along with them...
So... that choice for canned laughter...
Let's not save the one that is useless in a survival and after 850+ days realized to step up...
Bet ya... Clem because we have history, teached her, made her. Yay.
But I would ultimately save Jesus, his voice is something, and probably skilled.

Lee was definitely an easier character to relate to, he has a back story but our interactions with him between other characters were made purely on a instinctual level. We start the game in the back of a police car, he's been convicted and has essentially lost what was left of his life. Before the episodes over we find out his family is dead as well, he has no defined relationship with any of the characters and that was what gave us the ability to create a genuine bond with them. Decisions we made weren't based on expectations because these people were priorities to Lee, the bonds were formed through interactions and story progression. I know for me, it added more of a personal touch that I cared about the characters because of the time I'd spent with them, not because of who they are to me.

I would save Clementine. She's there since day one. Since The Walking Dead started. One of our old friends. What she had to go through till now. No need to explain that.

Javi would save Gabe.
I'd choose that for the lol
Javi doesn't matter
How dare you.
obviously not Gabe he's a bit of a douche bag.

He's in the middle of calibrations.

Gabe.
I'd save Clem. Actually I'm kind of hoping that Gabe dies. :P
I think there would be a choice b/W Javier and Clem who you want to save
Clem

Assuming I'm playing as Javier I'd pick Gabe. I'm a big roleplayer.
If everyone thought like you then we wouldn't even get to make any choices. Thank god we don't.
Gabe doesn't matter.
As in neither actually die?
Yep.
Javier doesnt get a say, not while I'm holding the fucking mouse >:(
Are you serious?!
As of yet, an easy decision...
Probably Gabe. I'm more interested in Javier's story and his family than Clem at this point.
Don't do this with my ship, Tobi!!!!!!!!!
