I like Clementine's personality

  • Hmm yeah, that is the problem with having Clem being the lead character in season 2, but not in season 3, because people have very "different Clems" so to speak, for example, her personality in A New Frontier is very much what I expected my Clem to turn out as, seeing as I got the alone ending, since I didnt feel Jane was trustworthy after her stunt with AJ, and while Kenny was trustworthy, there was no way to say how stable he was, and if he would at some point flip out on Clem, and I played her very much like a "survival above other things type", I didnt shun away from friendship or stuff like that, and was nice when the situation called, but survival was still priority, I felt it very fitting considering what happened in season 1, so it fits pretty well with me.

But I see the problem, because many others played Clem very much like they played Lee in the first game, so their personality doesnt fit very well with the "hardened survivor/dont trust anyone" Clem that we have seen in A New Frontier.

I'm not so sure, I got that impression from her in something. But even that makes no sense, all her friends gave themselves willingly and she honours that by sticking to herself. I still don't see my Clementine, hopefully Telltale mends that.

  • You would do that at your own peril.

If Clem doesn't shut her mouth I oughta slap her.

  • Ok, I see what you mean, Clementine should not have been more capable than the rest of the group, maybe, but lets consider, that we have never had a comparable situation in real life, so we dont know how certain children would evolve in such a world, given the right training, for example, child soldiers in Afghanistan or wherever, (pretty distasteful example I know, but lets consider it), are way more capable than alot of adults in Europe or similar with weapons, because of their life and training, Clementine had been surviving with Christa for and Omid (for a time) for 2 years, she is bound to have changed alot, and learned a heck of a lot from that, whereas Luke and the crew has mostly been living with themselves, or in Howes, not really interacting with other people outside, so it is not too far fetched that Clem would at least have more experience in dealing with rogue elements (Arvo, Bonnie), so, if considering within the realm of video games, as well as logical, yes, she should not be as capable in every respect as the adults, but I dont feel like some of her actions, and the adults asking her about things is as far fetched as people claim, and it is shown multiple times, how her lack of strength compared to the adults is a detriment, (I.E. her axe getting stuck, her taking a long time to dispose of the walker in the shed)

As for my comment about Jane, I feel like she was the one to show the most experience in handling the walkers, she seemed very comfortable taking out the walkers, and she is mostly the only one except Clementine shown to handle themselves well with a melee weapon

Ok, maybe Luke isnt entirely useless, but I did not feel like, while playing through the game, that he provided very much to the team, with the exception of Morale

  • Its not that she thinks friends are unreliable, its that she cant bear to lose everyone again, she has lost almost everyone in her life, and she doesnt want to be friends with people because it always ends up hurting in the end, she even says this, if she thought friends were unreliable, she wouldnt have gone with Javier in the first place

Clementine paid attention to how Jane felt.

Its not that she thinks friends are unreliable, its that she cant bear to lose everyone again, she has lost almost everyone in her life, and

  • Clementine is sympathetic to others regardless. That's good! :)

This Clementine is NOT who my Clementine was at the end of Season 2. Which makes me mad because I wish TellTale would have just continued the story from her PoV.
