Jesus Christ Telltale xD

During the flashback between Javi, Kate, and David over the glass

You get this option when talking to Dave -

[Tell him off] [Let it go]

I choose, tell him off

What I'm expecting -- You know what David? Fuck you you don't know me like that

What happens --- You know what, David? Time to open your eyes. Kate's gonna leave your ass. She told me so.

Was anyone else taken back? Jesus Christ xD

  • Spoiler tag necessary?

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who decided to stay out of the argument :)

  • Probably better.

  • [Tell Him Off] is the new [Glass Him]

  • I don't know about you. But when I saw the [Glass Him] option way back in 2013, I already knew smashing a glass on Woody was what Bigby going to do.

    What was people expecting? :D

  • I didn't pick that option, thank god lol. But people thought glass him meant giving him a drink or something like that, not smashing it in his face.

  • I thought it was to get him a drink. Telltale really does need to do better at making the options clear to players, less we have more situations like these as funny as they may seem in hindsight.

  • I had just spent the last 5 minutes flirting with her. I was well aware that "tell him off" was going to involve her somehow and i still picked it. I just wish she had stuck to her guns and either admitted that she wasn't happy or quit the flirting all together.

  • I chose that...my partner and I are enjoying the game and then what I thought was Javier going to defend himself turns into a fucked up moment...my partner was laughing her ass off and I was like...well that escalated quickly.

  • I chose to let it go, and I was mad because Javi doesnt just go "Okay whatever" he basically tells David that we will be his bitch and he can yell and push around anytime he wants! But then I saw Tell him off and how we just straight up lie. C'mon Telltale that could have been handled much better.

  • I thought Bigby would make a toast to him, not smash the glass in his face.

  • Ugh it's been so long I've forgotten where the glass him option is from.

  • Yeah there really is no good choice there.
You stay out it, you basically let him boss you around
You tell him off Javier starts saying his wifes gonna leave him and then Kate who clearly wants Javier dogs him by claiming it's not true. Dick move Kate.

  • Allow me to post a gif someone else made in my thread on the same topic:

This is the epitome of a terrible telltale choice. Both available choices have the character do something stupid that isn't what the text said at all, and both result in Javi getting bitched out by Kate. This is more than just a scenario where there's no right answer. This is a scenario in which both answers available are goddamn asinine.

And you just know this is going to be referenced again later. "You told me my wife was going to leave me, remember? What kind of brother are you?" or "Yeah, like how you stuck up for me back when I broke the shot glass? Thanks a lot." For crying out loud, Telltale.

  • Also in the Clem flashback when she runs with AJ, Ava will tell you "Youre kinda young to be a mom", and you get the option to tell her "Im old enough", at first I thought she was gonna say something like "Im old enough to take care of him" but instead she tells Ava "Im old enough to put a bullet in your head" Jesus Christ Clem chill

  • Really? Haha, that's really funny XD

  • I enjoyed [Tell him off] as an option.

  • I thought it was toasting the glass drinks like a friend. Not toasting it on his face XD.

  • Or what about in the train:

Dialogue option: She's one of US now!

Javier says: Listen, everyone has their secrets

How does that connect to telling Conrad that Clem is no longer working for the NF?

  • I love those options. Totally worth it just by seeing their reactions.
