Is AJ Dead?

NOT TRYING TO START AN ARGUMENT!!!!

I'm just thinking; all of the flashbacks seem to be leading up to something very important. And AJ is not even close to being close to be old enough to fend for himself. If The New Frontier are bad people, then I doubt that Clementine would leave AJ with them. Where could AJ be, if not dead?

(Also, just to kinda point out, in the first trailer, we see that Clementine's finger was bandaged but when Clementine actually met Javi in the game, it wasn't bandaged. So it must've been maybe a few months ((if you chose to go alone in S2, of course, and Clem lost/dislocated her finger)) after the incident that Clem met Javi...)

Well, AJ isn't a baby anymore, so a toddler must do.

    I am just kidding BTW.

  • How?

I had more of an impression that it leads up to AJ being taken away from Clem and now she's trying to get him back. That's why she needed that van, I guess. Also, Clem is the one that suggested to go to Richmond. Maybe that was her destination all along, however TNF taking it over kinda changed her plans I guess.

  • Also, remember the #1 first look, when Javi tells to Clem to hold on. "We are getting closer, just hold on" or something like that.

  • He got sent to space and became star lord

  • So with AJ being her father, that means Kenny, our God, is her grandfather?

  • Hahahaha omg, you guys are amazing

  • So, are they Eminem or Snoop Dog style?

Unfortunately she forgot which car she put him in and is now desperately checking every car she can get her hands on.

I assumed Aj is in Richmond. When Jesus dropped the bomb shell about the NF taking over Richmond, Clementine is suddenly on the verge of a panic attack. The only reason I can think of why she'd behave this was is if Aj is in Richmond.

I speculate that Clem left Aj in the care of someone she trusted while she went out searching for a vehicle. The plan was, find vehicle, return for Aj then get as far away from the NF as possible.
Of cause that plan went to shit when she met Jarvia.

Of cause I could be completely wrong so we'll just have to see.

  • Welp to be honest he probably is. It's TellTale's lazy ass showing again with this season and they killed off Kenny or Jane in the first fucking episode in a pathetic flashback, so AJ is probably gone too. I couldn't imagine TellTale working so hard as to keep a character alive for a decent amount of time other than Clem, cause they know damn well if Clem dies more than half their playerbase is out the window. And how could they even implement him into the game like that? He's pretty much Clem's responsibility to take care of him and she is so all over the place, as we've seen in the first two episodes. She's with us and not, then she's with us and not. She can't take care of a baby being like that.

  • It's pretty obvious. Also, as long as they don't show a character dying... We need to have hope.

  • AJ is short for Awaiting Javier, so just hold your horses people.

  • Javi: What do you need a truck for?
Clem: dont say you lost a fuckin' kid in one of the cars
    Clem: ...To drive.

  • Hey, pssst, look at the comments above mine... O.O

  • I agree with what some of the others have mentioned... I think AJ is Richmond too.

Why would Clem have suggested Richmond in the first place, if it wasn't the location AJ was in? Why would she have such a strong reaction upon finding out the NF had taken over if not for AJ? Plus in the trailer, Javi and Clem are actively tracking the NF... AJ being in their hands would explain why she was invested in finding them.

  • AJ could possibly be in the hands of that one girl we see in clem's last flashback
it gave us the option to accept or reject her invite to the New Frontier but either way clem had no choice but to leave AJ in their care since she didn't have enough food/support to keep AJ alive.. idk just my assumption.

  • I hope Clem can save A.J. if he is alive. It was so hard to see Kenny die :-(

  • That's just wrong... =_=

    So a gangbang then? lol

  • Duuuuude..... NOT necessary!!!

  • How is it obvious?

And I know - the NUMBER ONE rule of any Walking Dead realm is that if there's no body, then they may be alive.

It's pretty obvious. Also, as long as they don't show a character dying... We need to have hope.

  • Okay I'll chuckle a bit at this one lol

  • Dude, TTG is NOT lazy - they've made good stories and brought them out as quickly as possible with the best content. Sure, they've made some questionable choices as far as plots go, but still....

  • You're actually the first person to suggest he's alive with TNF with a LOGICAL reason.

  • I wouldn't be surprised, but I basically consider season 3 completely non canon at this point, the flashback with Ava was probably the most promising part of it (I wonder why? Maybe because it wasn't another stupid time jump? And it had rational people discussing things like rational human beings? "Gasp"). But heaven forbid we tell realistic and interesting stories about the more minute details of the day to day lives and interactions of people in an apocalypse, there must always be a psychopathic villain or some dumb gang war!

That's actually why All that Remains was my favourite episode from the second season, there was more environmental worldbuilding, practical inclusion of what a child would be able to do in an apocalypse, some clever cinematography, some good writing and reactive dialogue based on the first season, better combat design which allowed for choice during it, while still accounting for the fact Clementine is a child, and more realistic moments. Oh except for the beginning, that was still awful.

The reason why in the trailer the fingers bandaged and not in the game depends on your season 2 choices. If you stay with Jane, you get Jane in season 3. If you let Kenny kill Jane and go with him to Wellington and stay at Wellington you get Edith in season 3. If you don't stay at Wellington and go with Kenny, you get Kenny in season 3. If you let Kenny kill Jane and then shoot Kenny, save Jane from Kenny and don't go with her, or let Kenny kill Jane and don't go with him, you get the alone ending. In the alone ending your finger falls off. Please play all the games before starting discussions as it makes you look like a total noob.
