I enjoyed Life is Strange also, but my vote definitely had to go to The Walking Dead. It's the first game that truly pulled at my heart strings. It deserved this win.

Don't get me wrong, it deserved to win, but how in the hell did TWD get more votes than LiS, a fanbase so rabid that it will chew you out for saying anything negative about the game, no matter how small it is. The walking dead in general has a bigger fanbase, even those who have never played the game and just wanted the card would most likely have voted for the walking dead since its a larger franchise and is and a generally well known show.

I don't know, I think the LiS fanbase is much bigger than you think. Maybe it's because many fans are always very vocal about the game, but with the amount of money put into it by Square Enix, the huge amount of advertising that went on with it, and so on and so forth, I thought LiS was the way more popular game compared to TWD, a game that, while associated with TWD series, was made by Telltale, a relatively small gaming company and had little to no marketing behind it.
As I expected, that texasgoldrush guy is having a fit over on the Steam forums over LiS' loss on discussion relating to both TWD and LiS.
As said by others, I was completely expecting Life is Strange to win due to it's rather vocal fanbase. Glad we were wrong
I went onto the LiS Reddit page just to see their reaction and the fanbase is pretty split on the results. Half of them are praising The Walking Dead and the other half are salty and complaining that it was a popularity contest.
So why is Undertale up there?

At first I did not like LiS...but after a replay..I began to enjoy it a lot....but I tell you, the fans of that game, the vocal assholes who love to rip telltale apart...MUHAHAHA..jackasses.

I don't understand why people would get so upset over a certain game not winning. I mean, I can understand being bummed out about a certain game not winning. If LiS won, I would be a little bummed that TWD didn't, but I'd leave it at that. More people voted for TWD, so what? That doesn't change the simple fact that whatever game you voted for on that list was sadder for you than TWD was. TWD winning an award doesn't automatically make you wrong. It doesn't mean the game you voted for is no longer sad. It doesn't have to mean anything to you, unless you decide to take it personally and make it a bigger problem than it really is.
