These are all solid points, mate. And although these points are good, I still have some resentments against the man, despite him acting out … moreonly on orders. But somewhere there is a kinder man there.
Same thing with Arvo. He shot Clementine and brought his group to confront Clem's. That's pretty bad but if you choose wisely you could end up having him say "I wish we could have met under different circumstances. You were kind, that is not common." And when he found out that there was a baby he was desperately trying to calm the situation. I hold some resentments but I still defend the little guy.

I wouldn't say she was shitty, she just wasn't around long enough. She was introduced in Episode 3, which also gave her the most screen time, and it amounted to about a total of 8 minutes. The next two episodes, combined, were probably only 4 minutes. With that little amount of screen time, it's hard to make a character like that very compelling or interesting, she was just there to be an added threat and give characters like August, Finch, and Kroger a reason to be there. So while she wasn't a good villain, I wouldn't say she was shitty.
Max is still another zombie survivor and can't risk the danger of his own crew so I don't fault him for pulling such acts if you start acting up too much.
I'm a little hesitant on calling Max a good guy considering his hot-headed temperament, his violent reaction to a couple of puddings being e… moreaten, and how he takes Javier hostage regardless of whether you tried to be civil or not and yet objects to Badger taking Francine hostage in Episode 2. It's probably just me, but I find that a little hypocritical of him.
There's also how he can kill Javier if the player doesn't open the cabin door in time before he pulls the trigger on an unarmed man.
Don't get me wrong, I do know that there's another side to Max that may be further explored in Episode 3. I'm just not all that eager to give him the benefit of the doubt just yet.
I honestly wouldn't be like Max, when people were killing those in my crew they were fucking dead to me. Especially when Danny and Andy cut up Mark like that I was hoping I get to kill them soon.

Put yourself in his shoes for a minute: y… moreou have run into this same guy three times now. The first two times you encountered him, he's caused trouble, and everything went to shit soon after. Then he shows up a third time, at your doorstep. The fact that Max doesn't just shoot him on the spot or tell him to get lost is pretty commendable, if you ask me. I'm willing to bet most people in his position would either tell Javier to fuck off, or just shoot him.
Another thing to talk about Walking Dead characters so far is that many are in a grey area meaning they're not always full on villain or hero, though some characters like Carver and Troy you can tell were evil to the core.
Well, that's one of the things I really liked getting into this series. Unfortunately, Carver was one of the biggest signs that the writing was going through a decline.
Oddly enough, Troy was actually not that bad, just a general dick, though that could just be in comparison to Carver, Randall, and the original concepts of his character.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed this. I didn't know his name though. I knew he was an okay guy the first time he pointed a gun at… more me as he forced me into that trailer. I actually didn't want to even attack his accomplice and reason my way around maybe even make friends with them. The second hints I get is when he wasn't completely onboard with Badger's ideas, he thought Badger was going too far and didn't want to assault Prescott. These clues were enough to let me to surrender my weapons firsthand to get quick help from him to help Kate and well it all paid off.
And I didn't hesitate to put a bullet in Conrad's head to save Clementine. In fact I would have trusted Max more than Conrad even if he was on the other side. Conrad was a loose cannon he was just looking for an excuse to go on a killing spree he was another dumbass Nick. If it's meant to be a non-canon situation, then it doesn't explain why the option for the player to die right there and then exists in the f… moreirst place over a cabin door not being opened in time.
It doesn't change the fact that Max is proven to willingly kill an unarmed man for hesitating.
You know, the funny thing is I actually never bought into that theory despite being empathetic to guy myself, so that reveal was a genuine surpise. I always just assumed he was sent ahead to set up a new base for winter alone because they didn't treat him very well, much like how Kenny, Jane, and sometimes Luke make Clementine do things for them.
I'll be surprised if we don't get a brutal death for Badger once Javi tells David what happened. It'll certainly be interesting to see how Max ends up shaking out.
Badger is more likely to turn out to be one of the big bad's henchmen, rather than the big bad himself. The main antagonist is probably going to be the spoiler character who appears at the end of second episode. Since that character appears to be the the leader of the New Frontier, he's likely going to be this season's Governor or Negan.

I actually like Max too! I think he's very interesting and has a lot of potential for future episodes. However, it doesn't seem like Clementine likes him very much.
In episode 2, of you choose to go along with Conrad's plan(which obviously isn't a popular choice), then Javi will have Clem approach Max and the others. She'll flip Max off. Idk What do you guys think of this? What could have been the history between these two?

I really think this guy will come out of his shell in episode 3. He obviously has a problem with Badger's methods.
