Getting a god damn refund
Is it too hard to ask a game to save my progress?
For some reason, I cannot connect to the Telltale servers at all, despite being able to download the game in the first place. Since Steam Cloud apparently doesn't work with this game, I have ended up playing through the first episode several times, consistently being sent back to the beginning again.
The Telltale support team seem hopeless and painfully slow. I complained about this issue back at the release, and only received a small response on the 29th that asked me to run the support tool on PC to provide information to them. I haven't had any communication since that interaction and unless this community can help I have no choice but to get a refund.

That's happened to me before. You have to go through the files and change a small line of coding.

Could you please elaborate? I was actually enjoying the first episode up until the moment my progress got wiped.

Oh this thread, S3 is what helped me fix the issue. c:
ok
Are you Mr Skinny Jeans or Mrs Kinny Jeans?
And will this definitely work for TWD: A New Frontier? Is this a common problem across of all Telltale releases on PC?
Heck, I can't even find a folder dedicated to A New Frontier in my Documents\Telltale Games.
I would also like to know the answer to this question.
Right, so I've considered using a different save slot from the first one. I imagine that the first slot only uses cloud saving which (as stated) just doesn't work for me. Thus using the one of the other slots should force the game to use manual saving instead. Off to play the beginning of A New Frontier for the 6th time, and hopefully the last.
