If Telltale does another Walking Dead game should it take place in a different area of the country?

I think it might be good to close the book on this part of the story after this game and if they do a fourth game start over a new with an entirely different set of characters taking place in a part of the country with no relation to the comic whatsoever.

They are starting to run out of room of what they can do with this series around the Virginia area. This takes place fairly close to the current point of the comic (probably within about a year or so) and by the time the timeskip would end New Frontier would probably need to be a peaceful community again that would not be a threat to outsiders.

Jesus has been in the Alexandria area ever since the timeskip picked up and no mention of any threat around the Richmond area has ever been mentioned. Likely the NF threat will be resolved by the end of this game but I'm not sure they could stay in the same area and continue to have threats so close to where the comic takes place and still no mention of it in the comic.

So I'm thinking Javier, the surviving members of his family, and Clementine can go off into the sunset in a reconstructed New Frontier (with perhaps a new name) and that would explain why there has never been any word of it by Jesus in the comic.

  • And then if they choose to do a fourth game they can start over with an entirely different story.

  • There is still a ton of story in the Virginia area to go around because you must realize that Virginia is a huge state. Now, even if you're right, they can travel out of Virginia to a different part of the country and continue with Clementine and her group.

  • They definitely could do that and if they do choose to make more games involving Clementine I think they should do that. As I think if Clem does stay in the Virginia area after this game the best move would be to either have her stay at New Frontier or perhaps Oceanside.

If they choose to have leave the state though again they would need to come up with a very good reason why she is doing so. Now that Jesus is in the game and has knowledge of what is just to the north of them about a hundred miles a very well thought out explanation would be needed for why Clem is leaving the area.

  • Nah, I honestly don't want to have to watch another set of new characters go through the outbreak again, and then have the 5+ years time skip and watch them start doing stupid shit/have extremely bad luck all of a sudden and start dying left and right. Not to mention having the side characters who just met you 2 seconds ago trust you unconditionally and make you their rightful leader (even if a few minutes ago you just destroyed their lives). It gets to a point where it starts getting ridiculous.

Personally, I want season 4 to continue following Javier's story (and have Clem and whoever survives by his side). If they do take over TNF, being a leader of a big group and have a big settlement is something Telltale hasn't done yet and it could be interesting. Either that, or make Javier happy with his family and Clem riding into the sunset alone and then follow Clem's story again. But having no Clem in season 4 is a big no no for me.

  • They should certainly expand out into new areas but for the series sake I hope there isn't a season 4

  • Not really.

  • I would like to see some new places..but Javier and Clem have grown on me...Fear the Walking Dead seems to show why making a new series with different characts is iffy.

  • Fear is ok. I thought it would suck. personally they should explore other countries like Cuba.

  • Meh I have been watching it lately and I am not impressed with it....I would like to see it set in Europe...just to see what is going on over there.

  • Nick's alright. He is actually the sole reason way i watch the show.

I think they focus way too much on all the drama.

Don't take me wrong, i prefer longer build-ups, instead of brainless action all the time. But i feel like Fear The Walking Dead is neither. Half of the characters have daddy issues, only Victor and Nick are reasonable and interesting characters. Rest of them could die for all i care.

  • Yeah. I don't want to be one of those pro-Clem people, but i'm with you on that one. The whole trilogy is based on Clementine. They can't just end her story midway. So it means she will either have to die in Season 3, or they will have to make Season 4 that includes Clementine.

  • A Walking Dead Anthology series from around the world could be interesting.

I've always been curious to know how the UK faired during the zombie apocalypse, but any country outside the states could be interesting to see.

  • After Life is Strange, I'd like to see Dontnod's take on TWD. Choices would certainly matter with them.

  • Different area of the country? No. I want to see what's happening in Russia or the UK.

  • The best thing they could do is follow Javier, Clem and some survivors story in another state. That way they won't get affected by the comic timeline and events.

  • I'd rather there not be another TWD game.

But if it does happen, I'd like it to take place in another country, like Canada or France, IDK.

  • I think a season 4 focusing on Clem and AJ surviving together, in more than just 2 2 minute flashbacks would be cool, since he is younger than Clem was there are different threats to consider, and trusting people could be alot harder than in season 1, considering you have a baby, and are alone/with Javier or whatever, but if they go that route you would obviously probably need to play as Clementine for that to work (which I would like)
