In all honestly not many parents care about age limits. Call of Duty and Battlefield are M rated, yet parents get their kids the new one every year, my nephew is 13 and I got him Call of Duty Ghosts when it released.
I was 9 when I first played Gta Vice City at my older cousin's house. I was 11 when I first played San Andreas.
Some games are OK for kids and some aren't. This game series would be OK for a pre teen and up, a game like Resident Evil or Dead Space should only be 17 and up though as that type of horror is bad for kids.
