Awkward Question but, does Clem know about puberty? Birds and the Bees?

I assume she at least knows that men and women don't have the same equipment... She's been changing AJ's diapers for all this time, she must've noticed some key differences. Taking a guess, but she probably learned the details with the New Frontier. Those guys don't seem to have much chill so I'm sure they've had some in depth conversations in Clementine's presence.

Most of you (us) didn't learned about "kissing stuff" with your (our) parents, most likely with friends and people around, I'm sure. So as Clem. She doesn't have internet, but still... :D

  • Tbh , no. I think most of the casual kissing stuff has to do with what she heard. For someone to actually know that stuff, they need to have some interest, but Clem? ?? Nah she's too young to even have an interest imo, why would that even be brought up? After Omid died, I can hardly imagine Christa opening up much to Clementine, I feel like Christa kinda blames Clem, so to summarize this......nope, she's going to have to find out the old school way

  • Seeing as she was around practically helping to deliver AJ and was probably preparing to help deliver Christa's baby, I would say so.

  • That's adorable.

My only excuse is that I just wanted to use "Lenny" the emoticon for once in this forum...

  • We don't know she helped Christa, and though she was around Rebecca , she really didn't help nor got to see what went on, not everyone needs help to deliver a baby....my grandma delivered 14 kids by herself, at home , without my grandpa's help lol , no one's help. So in Christmas case, she probably didn't want Clems help , but who knows xD

  • I sure didn't learn anything from my parents. School and television.

  • I did say probably, but since she and Christa were alone, I think it's likely that Christa told her what she would need to do to help her. I mean, I think it's a little different in a zombie apocalypse but good on your grandma, lol.

  • Clem the big spoon, Gabe the little spoon.

How many of you guys are going to keep responding.
  • I can agree on that lol
Funny thing my grandma never wanted that much hahaha, but back then it was a different era as well , women had almost no say..........going off topic hahaha

  • Then again, most kids have access to social media and the Internet than when our parents were kids hahaha , so that'd be expected

I know more sexual terms than my parents do.

  • I seriously laughed at this one :D

But yes, i also can confirm that when i was a kid i knew (more or less) what sex is.

Oh shit... I just realized something... Most of my toys were stuffed animals... I used to make them kiss and stuff... And today... I'm a furry (yes, i'm serious, also, i'm talking about that sexualized part of furry fandom)

    Damn.

  • Haha oh my god I think what we do as children do tend to make sense as we grow older. When I would smash them it would be either a boy and a girl or a girl and a girl depending on my mood and I'm bi so..... yeah

Isn't it how sex works? :O

  • Yeah, i always believed that our surroundings affect us greatly, especially in our earliest years, but i never thought it's that deep. It explains a lot, actually.

Now that i'm thinking about it... I'm pretty sure i'm bisexual, or at very least pansexual. I used to toy with barbies with my female cousin, a lot actually, because she was my only cousin around my age.

I also very clearly remember a comedy about a guy whose name was Adam, and his parents wanted to have a daughter, so they were treating him like a girl and called him "Adaśka" (there is no official female counterpart of name Adam in Polish, but it's the closest it can get to a female name), and my mom used to compare me to that guy, joke about it etc, for some time (i wasn't offended or anything). Now, i sometimes find myself thinking 'damn, it would be fun if i was born as a girl'. Just to clarify, i'm not interested in changing my gender or anything like that nor i feel bad as a male, but still... I'm curious if those two things are connected, if they are, then holy molly...

They don't like to deal with female puberty...

I assume she does. She was either with Kenny, Jane, Edith and Ava and the NF. I'm sure she got some sort of talk about sex and puberty.

Somewhat unrelated, but an interesting thing to note is people who are malnourished and/or undergo frequent heavy physical activity often don't have consistent periods, if periods at all.

  • I think there's a good chance that any female characters that had a significant role in Clementine's life explained it to her. For example I think it's likely that if you ended up with Jane at the end, she explained it. If not Jane then Edith or even Christa.

  • Living organisms naturally have some idea of how procreation works. After all, we're biologically made to want to procreate, so I'm sure it has crossed her mind on numerous occasions. But the notion that we have to be taught how to have sex, and that through evolution the one thing we didn't carry, that other species seem to have held onto, is the natural instinct of how to have sex, is preposterous.

I'm positive Clementine knows about the birds and the bees, despite whether she was taught it or not, and I'm more positive that it will be the last thing on her mind in a zombie apocalypse. She's too smart for that drivel.

  • Hopefully, there won't be alcohol involved that time.

  • Ahhh what the fuck is this?!

I can imagine Eleanor and Clementine having this kind of discussion and it would come off a bit humorous. Clem would be likely to open up to her since she's a doctor and a woman I suppose. And god forbid what Kate would teach her.

Kate: So... you like my Gabe?

Also this thread went weird fast.

  • Where did you find this picture? I didn't see this in my playthrough.
At first I really didn't want Clementine and Gabe to be boyfriend/girlfriend, but now... I'm not so sure anymore, this looks sooo god damn cute. But before I allow this, Gabe really needs to man up.

Javier: Clem if you don't mind I am going to teach Kate some. Private lessons
    Clem: Yeah sex
    Javier: wait what-
Clem: I knew a boy once my age and I can confirm there was no time for kissing and I was the leader
