Why is TellTale trying so hard to appeal to newcomers with Season 3?

  • Yeah, can't really argue with that.People like Clem more,so they naturally want her to be in the spotlight. I think it's fine as it is but that's just preference.

Point being, Clem should be the primary focus, not being pushed aside for Javier's family in which almost no one cares about, the decisions

  • I dont consider it my problem Kenny became so unlikable.

Well, when you don't like a good character, that's your personal problem then.

  • You just have to look at the titles Telltale puts out to see they have an expansionist mindset.
Each one of the franchises they take under their wing comes with a huge existing fanbase with lots of potential new customers.

It's not really a surprise that bringing in new players is high on their priority list.
Not really sure if it was needed for the Walking Dead though.

  • Ty I listened to the podcast. probably happens every season, just upsets me they had almost 3 years to get all this stuff fleshed out.

Here you go - this is the thread which includes a transcript of the important parts (about Season 3.) Thread by @Dont_Look_Back

I'm not. It seems to me that's what you're doing. I simply stated my opinion, you're the one fishing for an argument.

  • Lol. Hell no

WHAT! I thought TT was a charity!

  • Don't get me wrong I love playing as Clem but I think we should take a break playing her for a little while I like Javi and I like his story but I do agree with the flashbacks worst writing I've ever seen from TellTale

  • He isn't unlikable. He just isn't a "always rainbows" character, he is a normal person, has rough edges. He usually says things that need to be said and does what needs to be done. And sometimes he needs some advise, someone who tells him when he goes too far.

But if you need to always agree with a character, a character who has no flaws, in order to like him/her, then it is your problem.

  • That's completely different, because reasons!

So The Walking Dead should be The Walking Rick according to your logic don't kill me i'm an animal in need of help

  • Clearly you havent read any of my posts about Kenny if you think thats why I dont like him.

  • I'm glad Clementine isn't the protagonist. Season 2 sucked because Clem was the lead character.

Child characters just do not work as the lead in a post apocalyptic setting.

I disagree. My problem with season two was that she wasnt enough of a lead. I felt like so much more could have been done to show how a small child alone would cope with a situation like this, how she would survive. But then it became all about Kenny and his struggles. Thats where it went south for me. At least in this season, we know what we're getting.
