What happens to people who was at International Space Station after the outbreak in the TWD Series

I Know that it's stupid that it even came to my mind, but do you think they could somehow survive up there!

  • They'd probably be better off until they run out of supplies lol

  • Knowing Kirkman, one of them probably died overnight and ate all of the other crew members.

  • They'd probably all die within at most a year or so

  • Their chances would be as high as surviving a harsh winter with no food or beds.

  • Unless z-apocalypse didnt happen due to a "magic" pathogen that makes no sense. Script then feels way too overforced as it should be.

  • They probably survived as long as they could but then would be forced to return, I have no real knowledge on the matter but you may (or may not) need people back at earth to aid you in a successful and safe landing. If this is true then they may crash and die (I could be wrong, you might not need support on earth to successfully land).

But if they successfully landed then they would pretty much be regular survivors from then there out I guess.

It is estimated a person can survive for six months in the ISS but this may be longer if it wasn't a full crew. If they where up there for that long then they may find it hard to readjust their bodies to earths gravity as astronauts require a full medical check up and an excersize routine to reajust their bones and muscles as they are weakened in space.

If they fail to do this on earth then they will be very physically weak and fragile (more at risk to bone breakage) so they will probably be physically bested by any survivor that wants to potentially harm them or any walker that wants to...y'know.

That being said, astronauts are generally very well trained in a technological aspect and could be a vital member of a survival group in mending cars and radios etc.

A point I'd like to make is that Russian cosmonauts actually bring firearms to space as when they land, they may land in a wood or forest location full of bears and wolves which they need defence from. These guns will certainly come in handy against walkers and humans.

The ISS has a return vehicle so it should be possible for them to return to earth if they run out of food but once they land it could be difficult for them to get out and survive if they have been in space for too long, they will likely have muscle wastage and other symptoms from spending too much time in space which would make it hard for them to escape from walkers.

  • Come to think of it, people on the ISS would be probably immune or "not infected" with the zombie virus.

  • I don't really know how it works but if babies born years after the apocalypse started like AJ are infected then the people at the ISS would probably 'catch it' if and when they return.
