It is off to a very poor start. Shoulda just been a new game, and set a few weeks after the outbreak, especially since Javier and his family are acting like it is.
They honestly should've just stuck with Clem's story, that was their worst mistake: veering off from the character we've been focusing on for two seasons.

Yup. You'd think developers would have taken note of what happened with fans when Konami pulled a bait and switch and had you playing as Raiden for a majority of the game instead of a huge fan favorite.

When you say this is it, do you mean this will be the last series of the walking dead, regardless on critical reception? Then again I suppose If they made a season 4, they'd really be milking the cash cow, especially if Episode 3 and the rest of the season turn out to be sub-par.
Episode 3 will be interesting to see what they do with it. Seeing how as of now they have really no clue what they're doing and the heavy am… moreount of polarizing reactions it does leave an interesting situation for Telltale. In my opinion at least i don't feel Telltale has to do any real hard work to improve or save the series depending on perspective as most of the problems can be easily corrected. Whatever ends up happening i do hope this installment ends up being quite good and enjoyable as i do believe this is it for Telltale's Walking dead series.
My dream would be the season 1 writers, but for the past 2 episodes I think they've had about 7 or 8 writers for Ties That Bind (from what I've heard here in the forums, I should probably do some research and learn the exact number) but I imagine they'll be the same writers that did Episodes 1 or 2... or I could be completely wrong...
Another reason I thought killing off Jane and Kenny so fast was a massive mistake, rather than have Javier (I don't mind him and his story, but it does veer from Clem quite a bit). Maybe have either Jane or Kenny be the second playable character as we have a history with them. The Alone ending could have seen Clem reuniting with Christa somehow and have her be the playable second character in Season 3, as for Wellington ending... I dunno Kenny again? Or Edith? The family? Bonnie, Mike and Arvo? Lilly? Molly? Loads of character fates were left up in the air and I know it's unrealistic and would be very difficult for Telltale to make this many branching storylines, but it would have been awesome to see.
Again, even if it's unrealistic that all these characters would somehow return, my suspense of disbelief has been broken ever since Kenny returned and then having David alive as well, goes to show it's a small world the walking dead universe is now.

I agree with that, unless Season 3 ends it perfectly as well. Which I doubt, take Kenny's death for example, perfect in Season 1. Good in Season 2, awful in Season 3. Clem's ending Season 1 set it up for a sequel, Season 2 ended it perfectly, whereas Season 3, well I'm worried that's all I've got to say.
Dammit dude now you've got me wondering if it was a dream, because if my memory serves correctly, Clem did close her eyes when we went into … morethe flashbacks so it very well could have been a dream. But, with so much let down in the past, chances of it happening are slim to none. Ah well, let's just pretend Season 2 was the final chapter and Clem, AJ, & Kenny/Jane live happily ever after!
TWD isn't a cheap game by any means, so I'll keep playing for the rest of the season. If the game doesn't improve in the next 3 episodes, I might just watch gameplay for S4 instead of buying it.
On a side note, a big thing for me is having a good ending. That's what makes it or breaks it for me. I didn't enjoy TWDS2 all that much, but the finale (I ended up at Wellington which was the most emotional and heart wrenching one imo) is what made me fall in love with it. Similarly, I really enjoyed GoT but absolutely hated the ending and so now when I think about it, I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth. I have a feeling that as long as Telltale does its magic for the ending this season, I'll have considered it a good ride.
As in the last walking dead game by telltale. I do believe this is the last game they will be making of the walking dead. And honestly seeing how ANF is a disaster and it's not even halfway completed i fully agree with ending it while ahead.

I don't mind playing as Javi, but the split is very uneven at the moment and I agree playing more Clem in E3 would be a starting point for making the episode good.
Rewrites have happened with every single Telltale game ever. Even S1 of TWD. Remember how it was clearly obvious that TWAU was rewritten and became a Telltale classic? This could be the same with ANF.
I was really hoping ep 3 would make up for 1 and 2, but after hearing about the rewrites, I don't know anymore. Now I'm just scared it's goi… moreng to be 3 months of waiting for a poorly written 1 hour episode. Conrad is probably going to die or just act like he isn't there, and I'm sure Max will help us and then get killed because "character development"

"Bearded Messiah" cracked me up haha.

If Clem isn't playable we Wyatt
I miss having options whether we could make Clem snarky or not.. She's just full on snarky now..

That would be unfortuNATE.
