Telltale can you tell if episode 3 comes out this month or are you back to 2 month waiting?

Comments

  • As of now, there's been no confirmation for the time release for Walking Dead S3. The 'one episode a month' comment was only made in reference to Batman: Telltale Series.

  • Telltale will release information in regards to a release when the actually release date is nearing close. I will say that it is safe to say that episode 3 will not come out this month since they haven't finalized the story yet. I would say expect something in May or June.

  • Telltale had 3 years to finish the story and release the episodes on the right days. Why do they create each episode from scratch?

  • Michonne and Batman had monthly releases AFAIK, but Telltale hasn't announced that all their games would have monthly releases.

I wouldn't expect it for S3. Between all the rewrites, we'll be lucky to get a release even in Feb/March. Clementine's VA predicted the release date would be in late March or April as they've barely started recording for the next Ep. She's the best source we have regarding release dates for the next ep so far.

I think awhile ago someone said it was because they like to listen to fan feedback and make future episodes with that feedback in mind. Though it looks like that could of been another lie. If everyone at that company were like Pinocchio their noses would be 5 foot long and they couldn't open any doors right.

  • Because they didn't work on it in those 3 years. Telltale has no set team structure (as far as I know), so there was no one who worked on it. I think they really startet working on ANF somewhere at the end of 2015 or early 2016. So they got a little less than a year to map out the Storyline and to develop the first two episodes.

But since they seem to ran into difficulties, the development dragged on, so they couldn’t pre-produce the next episodes like they did with Minecraft, TWD: Michonne and Batman. At least if the rumors are true, but then again: how much can a Voice Actress really know about the developing process.

But either way: Telltale is most likely going to change the next episodes quite a bit because of us fans and our Feedback, even though a certain tweet from a certain writer suggest otherwise.

  • They won't change it, and the reason is the reason you mentioned.

    In my opinion.

  • They don't have a set storyline or anything, and they constantly have rewrites going on behind the scenes. Seems like they don't know where they're going with Season 3 right now. I'd expect it by June, if not earlier.

  • It hasn't been added to steam and it hasn't been tested by testers. So it won't be releasing anytime in the next 25ish days.

  • I honestly wouldn't mind 2 months like the old days if it means it'll better than Batman.Batman wasn't that good and was super short and I miss long episodes.BRING ON THE WAIT..I guess..

  • We'll probably get the episode in March or April. I would expect news early next month.

  • Recent releases have been monthly (Batman, Michonne, Minecraft, etc), but rumor has it that Telltale are doing some rewrites, so I personally speculate that we could see the episode around February or early March, as that is about the amount of time between episodes of Season 2 of TWD. We don't really have much else to discuss in the way of news, and people have said about all that can be said, so I am going to close this thread.
