This is some taboo shit right there. Abort this mission. Do not talk about timeskips. If you do, please consult your family doctor or pharmacist, because the side effects of the sad realization about the neglect, laziness and unreality might cause some serious damage.
They would have probably lived on towards either the season finale of season 1 or season 2. ((And also telltale would probably input more on the romance between Lee and Carley that was being hinted in episode 3 before Lily killed Carley.))
I feel like it would've been cool if Carley would have replaced Christa.... oddly enough and Doug would have replaced Omid of course they would both have partners of the opposite gender.....

Lets face it, Doug would be the ultimate zombie survivor by now. This guy knew things. Alas, he sacrificed himself to save Ben.
If Carley survived, she'd eventually be playin bobblehead.
If Doug survived, he'd be useful in...actually, a lot of moments: the train, the boat, and in Crawford.
