How many find themselves playing season 1&2 vs The New Frontier.
I started playing The Walking Dead in October. I came across a game actually searching for the TV series. As an avid gamer I saw that the season one was free. So I downloaded it come to find out that I actually had to pay for the rest of the episodes. But after episode 1 in season 1 I was immediately hooked. I then purchased season 2. Was completely impressed with how well the games tied into each other. Then after a long wait for season 3 the new frontier. I downloaded it purchased a season pass. I was completely disappointed in the storyline. Relating to the characters. Also the graphics. I've only done one run-through of the new frontier. But I find myself going back and playing season 1 and season 2 more so then the new frontier.

I know the feeling. Season 1 and 2 still knock me right in the feelings, but season 3 was just... "Hey! Look It's Clem!!! But where is Clem now? Clemmy, where are you? Oh, hey bandits, bang bang...Okay, now let's talk with this guy... Hey. Hey. See ya."
The whole community (probably) shares your opinion.
But Telltale, eh, doesn't listen.
But... But most reviews for ANF is positive so there is nothing really wrong with it
~ Telltale
I don't share this opinion. Right now the season can go either way...good or bad...perhaps it will be the season no one talks about, or it could turn out great. Right now I am enjoying it and perhaps they are taking the criticism to heart...I need more Clem! But we will see.
Well... you're right. They took off Clementine (who wants to play as Javier?). There is no more Anadel songs at the end of the episodes. 1 episode=1hour. There is no connection between S2 and A New Frontier. No "Next time on The Walking Dead".
S2 reused soundtracks, Batman HUD style and S2 endings doesn't matter.
Well, the 3rd episode will tell us if they've even considered any feedback that has been given.
We should really wait for this season to end before shitting all over it.
You can always pretend the series ended with S2 multiple endings and the rest doesn't exist.
Yep
Your mom dropped you on your head.
Oh yeah?, well you are a doo doo head!
I've actually never replayed a game aside from TFTB because I never really see a reason to since I love to watch people's reactions to things I like afterwards.
I''ll tell you once season 3 is over.
The storyline is pretty shit. Javier is shit. Javier's family is shit. I wanted to see a continuation of Clem's story (main reason I bought this), but no we got this generic, bland baseball player who I don't give a shit about. Episodes are short, we were lied to too many times - and don't even get me started on the deaths and the flashbacks. They expect us to feel sad when we don't even get to know the characters? Telltale messed up with ANF big time, and I won't be a returning customer from now on.
All for the NEWCOMERS (because there are so many am I right... ha... ha...)
The reviews for S3 are at 84% compared to S1's 97% and S2's 96%. Telltale can't accept the fact that this season is horseshit so they won't improve it. Job pretty much confirmed this when he said we were the minority. We're definitely not the minority - Steam reviews prove that. There's over 70% people agreeing to so many of those reviews.
Too bad I have to finish ANF now because I bought the Season Pass (Steam requires it). Smh.
I can't...I am too stupid to figure out how!
To be fair, only one major character (Mari) has died thus far, and given she was a first episode death, its understandable it wouldn't really be that sad. I mean, was anyone that sad when Shawn died in episode 1? Or Doug/Carley? Or Pete? Or Greg in the miniseries? Characters that die during the first episode generally don't get everyone feeling all misty-eyed.
The only other 'big' death so far was Conrad, and his character was established to be about as important to the story as poor old Mark was, so yeah
How DARE YOU...Mark was an important member of the group...the food he brought with him allowed Clementine to live...show some fucking respect...plus he was part of a balanced diet in the end.
Hey, at least I remembered him
That's more than you can say for the rest of the group after episode 2
Yes sir
Yeah, I wonder how many people held Clem as a hostage, that she wouldn't run off.
I hope there is still some hope for the rest of this season...episode 3 is the deciding factor in all this hell hole
Season 1, yes. Season 2, not really.
I've played the first two seasons more times than I can count. I've only played ANF once and despite the fact that I liked it, I don't really see myself playing it again any time soon.
Damn.
Let's not lose hope!
YOU ARE DAMN RIGHT!!!!
They definitely forgot how long Batman Episode 1, Tales from the Borderlands Episode 5 and The Walking Dead Episode 4 took. What a bunch of losers.
And sadly... they probably didn't because "we're the minority" according to Job.
There were at least hubs (big hubs) which let us know a lot about characters. Season 3 pretty much has none of that.
And who is majority?! Reviews?
Honestly, I started replaying S1 before ANF dropped, as is my trend prior to new sequels dropping. ANF completely killed my desire to finish replaying it, though.
At this time looks like yeah, reviews and people out of the forum.
Like you said, the third episode will tell us if they've considered any feedback, but tbh I doubt it, imo.
If they change that, well, so welcome.
I didn't kill Conrad he's my homie!
Too bad your homie's probably gonna die in the next episode...
Ya know, determinant curse and all that.
You might be right but at the moment it could go either way. S1 and S2 both had some bad episodes, but they were still great games. We'll just have to wait and see.
I love Clem but I actually prefer playing as Javier. I agree with you on everything else tho.
Neither do I. Ive only played season two once. I dont desire to replay either. I do wish to get on with season three.
Arent we compared to the fanbase as a whole? Most of them arent on this forum.
Yeah, I know, let me enjoy this bromance while it lasts.
