What if Rick had been Ellie's mentor, instead of Joel?

(I'm referring to the version of Rick as seen in the TV series, as opposed to the Comic version.)

And what if Joel had been leader of Lee's group, instead of Lee?

In answer to the second question, I don't think that the group would've fallen apart if Joel had been the leader instead of Lee.

For example, I don't think the group wouldve been lured onto the St. John's dairy, as they were when Kenny and Lilley were leading the group.

I think Joel would've smelled that something was off about the St. John's even before they went to go check out the dairy.

Secondly, while I do believe that Joel would've agreed with Kenny about looting the station wagon, I don't think the stranger would've been able to kidnap Clementine.

And thirdly, if Clementine had gone missing, I don't think that Christa would've gotten herself in a bad way, and needed Kenny to bail her out.

I don't think that Joel would've allowed Kenny to lose his cool like he did, but would have put him on his ass real quick.

And I don't think that Vernon would've been able to make off with the boat. Lee and Kenny would've gone to look for Clementine, but with a warrior like Joel guarding it, I have a feeling that Vernon and his group would've been massacred.

And in season 2, if Lee's group had met up with the cabin group and they had joined together, I don't think Carver and his group would've been able to capture them.

  • What we have to realize is, Lee was just a normal guy headed for prison when the zombie apocalypse started. There was no way to know how long it would last, so people couldnt just cut ties with everyone and go around distrusting everyone.

Joel has been in the apocalypse for what? 30 years? he is a survivor, the only thing Joel ever cared about after losing his daughter was Tess, and later Ellie. Clementine has become alot like Joel in that regard actually, survival before all else, although she still has alot of heart that Joel has lost, but Joel got some of that heart back when travelling with Ellie.

But the point is, Joel would not trust anyone, he would probably also loot the station wagon like you said.

I dont know if the stranger would be unable to kidnap Clementine, since Joel did lose Ellie while he was sick, but maybe Joel wouldnt let Clem sleep in her own room, since he was worried about her.

  • Ellie would probably end up like Carl, I don't think Rick would take a different approach than he did with Carl throughout the years. As for Joel, are we talking years into the apocalypse Joel, or confused and panicky first day Joel? I think it's a bit unfair to compare experienced Joel to Lee, since Lee is just entering the start of his worlds scenario. It's entirely likely Joel's experience wouldn't have been much different, he was a bit younger and likely in better shape, but otherwise he seemed like a pretty average guy and handled the opening moments similar to Lee.

  • It always bothered me how in The Last of Us, youre only a few hours into the apocalypse, and already, the military is shooting on sight

  • I think its inhumane to shoot a father and his daughter, ESPECIALLY when you dont know whats going on, besides, the soldier had a weapon, Joel was begging him for help, if nothing else he could have brought them in at gunpoint, shooting no questions asked is no way to solve anything, especially not when there is children involved

  • Honestly, I have no idea if it was a manmade thing or freak of nature, but I'm kind of inclined to think the military knew somehow about how destructive this was and were trying desperately to contain it. The soldier that stopped them didn't shoot them in a panic, he was actually hesitant to do so, he got orders to do it through his radio so the decision to kill possibly infected civilians came from higher up.

  • I am pretty sure they must have known, it was like, a few hours into the apocalypse at that point? the infection only showed external signs long ways into the infection if I remember correctly, I still find it weird they give the order to kill, rather than quarantine

Joel, Nathan, why they all have to look the same? I mean like a male porn stars. Psn is copying it's characters. Rick and Lee at least seem real, like a people you can meet. Don't know about you but for me this is important matter in video games.

  • I swear to fucking god Kenny/Lee your threads are just forum cancer.

Here is one...what if Clementine had been mentored by Geralt of Rivia instead of Lee?

What if the zombie apocalypse never happened....would Clementine turn into a brat?

    What if God farted?

What if the seventh son of a seventh son had eight daughters?

Your threads never add anything...they just lay there like a forgotten turd.
