Didn't we already get a couple of episodes like this: The Cell and Sing Me a Song? Hopefully, I'm wrong and it adds something new instead of being a filler episode like Sing Me a Song was.

It wasn't this one, it had most of the scenes from that trailer with addition scenes. It was like a mix of 2 trailers.

I thought it was gonna be like get episode three tonight! When the Zombie DLC for Red Dead Redemption dropped it was halloween night and I saw the commercial and ran out and got a PSN card! Caught me totally off guard.
Jesus, this "date" is hard to watch.
It's kind of funny in the awkward sense. Of all the characters, Eugene is the one who would probably act like this in a normal life.
To me, it's just awkward.

Jokes aside, one thing the show can show that the comics really can't because of the art is that a lot of the people are just dirty. So, when someone is attractive on the show isn't as common because most of the time everyone is dirty somehow, which, well, Negan's wives are not.
Jeez I seem like a creep. At least the show tries to give them a storyline instead of just mentioning them like once or twice.
I know right? I think in the comics we saw Negan's wives walking around in their panties one time and that was it. They feel like actual people now. Ones that loved chemistry class apparently.
I give the show props for taking some obscure comic characters (Richard and Bob come to mind, Morgan to some degree too). I like that they retool exisiting minor characters into newer, better ones. At the same time, the show did like give Holly a unceremonious death, has made Heath disappear, and killed off some Alexandrians way before their normal deaths, I'm generally down with it. Oh and Andrea. Yeah, Andrea, killing her off, eh, I think at this point I'm kind of glad.
Also, fun fact: Laura is the blonde Savior. She's being introduced like 50 issues before her normal appearance. Of course I doubt if the show will do the story she has in the comics, it's still nice.
I take back my previous comment on this thread. This was a well-paced, emotionally charging, and sometimes funny episode that continues to further Dwight and Eugene's characters. Plus, that scene where Dwight returns to his old home and reads Sherry's note might just be my favorite scene of the entire season. 9/10 for me. Easily the best 7B has to offer so far.
What don't I think is filler?
Something that progresses the plot rather than repeats information that we were already given earlier in the season. Something The Cell and the latest episode wasn't and what Sing Me a Song was.
Lmao normally I enjoy the non Rick eps and for the most part this was no exception. The Eugene moments were pretty damn good and hilarious I thought. Definitely the most interesting he's ever been. Removing him from Rick and his crew was better for the character. Didn't really care about the Dwight stuff, probably because I haven't been keeping up with the show that much. Negan his usual cartoonish, ridiculous b movie type villain but not even he could bring down the Eugene scenes.
