This is the saddest moment of A New Frontier so far!!! (SPOILERS)

I can't be the only one who cried at this scene. Poor Clementine.

  • I do not trust David...I think he is up to something.

  • I dunno what to say. He did want Max and Badger dead and he drew the gun on Joan, Clint and Lonnie.

  • I didn't cry, but that's probably just me.
I truly love watching these types of relationships develop, though.

  • I haven't cried like this since Season 1 ending. Always choosing [Hug Clementine] when the game calls for it.

  • I did not cry sorry
I kinda wish this moment was determinant

    Be gone double post

  • No way, no shennanigans. [Hug Clementine] should be EVERYWHERE.

I don't know, burying Mariana is way more sad than just giving Clem, the girl you met 3 days ago, a hug.

  • Hugging Clementine makes Javier feel like he is hugging Mariana, you know?

  • Weve known clem since season 1....

  • Am I the only one who say to her "I am sorry" instead of [HUG]??

  • What exactly could David be "up to?"

  • Probably not but that girl seriously needed a hug.

I refuse to play as Javier's POV. I have known Clementine since S1.

    Javier hasn't

  • Alright, just clarifying a reason one might decide to approach a situation.

I refuse to play as Javier's POV. I have known Clementine since S1.

  • I love pretty much everything about this scene, was definitely the highlight of the episode for me. While I didn't cry, it was highly emotional, and the fact that they used the same music that plays during Lee's death adds a lot to the atmosphere of it all, it's one of the few times I didn't mind them reusing old music for the game as it actually fit. When Clem said that she was hoping AJ would be the one that didn't die, you can tell she was thinking about Lee, the impact he had on her life, and the remaining guilt she has over his death. This is also one of the few moments so far where it doesn't feel like Telltale is solely pandering to new players, this felt like a moment for returning players, those who have played the previous games and not only have that investment in Clem, but in Lee as well. Now this was a moment done right, old players are able to recognize what Clem is feeling in that moment and why she feels this way without spelling it out, and new players still understand how much this bothers her without having anything from the previous seasons spoiled. The only issue I have is that it quickly jumps right back into the action, you don't really have a moment to breathe and take in the moment for all that it's worth.

  • Relevant.

I do not trust David...I think he is up to something.

  • And that's how I believe Gabe would've felt as well.

  • I dont think he is up to anything. My problem with him is that I'm not so sure him being the sole leader of the NF would be any better than Joan.

  • Its even sadder when AJ's first word was "mom", when seeing Clementine kicked out

  • I've only seen it when he says Clem, are there versions where he says mom instead?

Its even sadder when AJ's first word was "mom", when seeing Clementine kicked out

  • I didn't make Javier hug her as well. It felt forced since Javier knows Clem for how long? Three days? Four at best. My Javier said something like "at least A.J. was able to spend his time with you". I don't remember the specific words tho.

  • Are you sure he said that?

Its even sadder when AJ's first word was "mom", when seeing Clementine kicked out

  • I didn't know Mariana for more than a few scenes, so Javier burying a girl who's name he couldn't pronounce wasn't that impactful for me.

I don't know, burying Mariana is way more sad than just giving Clem, the girl you met 3 days ago, a hug.

  • He said "Clem" not "mom".

Its even sadder when AJ's first word was "mom", when seeing Clementine kicked out

  • I did the same. I figured Javi hugging Clem would be a bit much, despite how much I wanted to. I worried she'd get uncomfortable.

But since she accepted the hug, now I wish I had.

  • It was so sad when you hear his first word being "Clem..." as she walks away. I don't know what's going to happen. I also don't know what to think about David. Like, I trust him, but I don't. Not just because of Clem, he was a bit bipolar and abusive pre-apocalypse. So its hard to say what he's going to do. Especially since I tried to bail on him with Kate....

  • How

    It was.

  • You could have said "I'm sorry", or something else.

  • I cried too don't worry, however I don't like the way it played out afterwards, the scene was cut so short I swear

  • This is so true

  • Good point.

  • Not that what i ment by determnant

You could have said "I'm sorry", or something else.

  • Nah, he gets fucked over good by the other leaders at the end, especially if Max is there and tells the truth. David also gave Javier a map that lead to a relative safe space and kept his promise of meeting him there. And you could tell he really didn't know what was going on with the raids. I believe he's innocent, of them at least.

I do not trust David...I think he is up to something.

  • But that is what it means. Hugging Clementine is determined by your choices, therefore it's determinant.

  • I dunno... if anything, the whole scene kind of just made me feel uncomfortable. I just don't think any of the characters this season have had enough of an impact on her to start getting that close, not even Javi.

That's just me, though. It's great to know that it had some emotional weight for you guys.

  • Same. It doesn't really fit for Javi to be hugging her.
