Was David's reaction realistic?
When he found out about Marianna did you think that was believable or just cheap? I find his character unbelievable "zombie apocalypse broke out I'm not gonna bother go back and get my kids and wife, oh my daughter is murdered? Lets not make a big deal about it, I will handle it later."

Same, I thought he'd be more furious.
Realistic enough, for the character.
As soon as the apocalypse started the first thing he did was going back to the military, and with the whole glass drama it is very clear he cares more about the army than about his family.
As Kate says, "David lives for a brawl".
Yeah but he was more angry at Clementine for stealing meds for dying baby than Marianna being murdered.
Because the zombie apocalypse was his chance to run away from his family, so why would he care about a little girl he haven't see in 4 years?
If you don't want to think he is an asshole, as he seems to be.
He said that he "thought all of them were dead" so he already cried for Mariana, crying a second time for someone you thought dead is stupid.
I feel like David was fairly smart in how he handled it. Javier didn't break the news only for David to go "FUCKING WHAT THE FUCK, THEY DID THAT?!?! OH MY FUCKING GOD MARIANNA NOOOOOOOO!!" followed by him running into the TNF's council room attempting to shoot everyone up and nabbing maybe 2 or 3 people before everyone else gunned him down.
No. He was better about it.
David knew deep down that TNF's politics were corrupt and messy. He even said so himself. He knew that there was nothing he could do at that particular moment. That he'd have to play it out and see what he could do afterwards. He may have been an asshole in the pre-apocalypse but he's not an idiot. Yet.
David already thought that she was dead, hence the lack of emotion when he said it's like losing something you didn't know you had.
As far as him wanting to handle it himself, he was already on thin ice with at least 2 of the other leaders, one of whom was actively plotting against him. David knew the politics and knew that handling Badger in private and beating him badly or making his death look accidental was preferable to being held responsible for his men by the other leadership.
I'll say that scene was lacking...emotion for sure. David's lines were delivered very flat way. His face did show concern however. And the performance from this guy is good over all. Just a 'meh' take that kills the mood it happens. Moving on now.
I can tell by experience, I've seen peope find out their children are dead. They scream and cry for several days, and then they get distant, and don't eat or sleep and they're just lost. ANF is shit, and Episode 3 is not the exeption. I don't understand how people can think it's so good.
Yup, agreed.
Well for me Javi and David's reaction was pretty badly done.
Its just "Oh shit is that my brother Javi!?" then they just rush Kate inside and then David talks to Javi like it hasnt been 4 years and thinking the other was dead.
People grief in their own way. Maybe 4 years ago, David mourned and cried for days and thought that they're all dead, or maybe he's always tried to suppress it by looking and moving forward. You cannot generalize people's emotion. For me, his reaction is realistic enough, it's been 4 years, the tears have dried. If it was me, I'd be grateful if any, even though not all, of my family showed up when I thought they're all dead.
