Hype for Clem as main playable character in season 4
As bitter as I've been towards ANF, I do still hope a forth season is made. I think everyone here only complains because they care so deeply for this franchise. I really want them to learn from the problems they made in this season, and look at what made Season 1 work.
I hope another season will be made, with Clementine as main protagonist this time (for real this time, not only advertising purposes) and I believe, I really do, that Telltale is able to make a great season again, the only thing they need is to learn from their previous mistakes and listen to what TWD fans have to say, what they liked the most for example.
To be honest I think it is time to wrap up Clementine's story in the video game world. Have her go off to one of the known communities in the comic (such as Oceanside) where she can live out her days and Kirkman can use her if he wants to.
As far as future video games I think it is time to start over with a completely brand new cast of characters totally unrelated to anything that has come before.

True. If they decide to take a break, listen to the community and learn from their mistakes.. I'm willing to give them another chance. ANF isn't all bad, but it was definitely a hurtful low blow.
Agree. As much as I value Clementine, I'd prefer her story to be finished.. without killing her in the process. Then move on with the franchise, maybe with a setting outside of the USA? That would be my personal favorite route.
Do you have any precise idea for such a "fresh start"?
I'd love a S4... if Clementine was protagonist again and we follow HER story + if they actually looked at all the issues such as short episodes, not caring about characters (lack of development), etc - then sure, go for it.
I don't know why everyone complains about season 3, I think it's great.
Episode 3 of every telltale game is boring as shit, not as boring in season 2, but still kinda boring.

I'd be down for a season 4 if Clem's alive. I don't think I could play another season if she died, too sad. If its still a continuation of Javier's story, I guess I'd still play it.
They've already done this twice and it only got worse each time. Please god don't introduce an entirely new cast of unlikable, boring, cliched characters. Flesh out the ones you have now, instead of trying yet again and failing. If anythings holding the ANF characters back, it most certainly is not connections to previous characters.
Why are people obsessed with AJ being playable? If they do a season 4, AJ will only be 2 to 3 years old at best. To jump far enough ahead for him to be playable would go ahead of the comic timeline. Season 3 is IN the comic current timeline, somewhere between Negan defeat and the Whisperers. There probably won't be any more major time skips as the game caught up to the comics. At best they may go a few days to a few months after season 3 and end up in the Whisperer war timeline. Judging by how Jesus looks in S3 E5 I'd say this is during the peace period while Negan is incarcerated. And seeing that the Michonne bit was between Negan war and the time skip of the comic that led to Michonne disappearing... it makes sense if you compare the game to the comic. They're in the same universe.
They complain because of the hurt factor. They promised they would prove our choices matter ... then they took away our choices by killing Kenny/Jane and destroying Wellington... It was a great season aside from them dismissing season 2 choices.
Nah we're just saying, because we know AJ so people won't be pissed because we're playing someone we don't know, although it actually isn't a good idea the more I think about it... too young.

im amost 100% sure will be playing as her in season 4.
agree, just let clem be the main character and the playable character like season 2.
I hope they won't mess up season 4 like this one.
It felt rushed, unfinished, some dialogs, flashback really off, some scenes were non coherent to not say useless to the story.
I really feel that my choices all along the game, with season 2 didn't really matter for the story or Clem character besides few choices.
But I hope this season will be somehow included for AJ/Clem story (not with flashback) but be able to interact with Richmond, Garcia and Jesus.
I don't want season 3 to be wasted. I really liked Javier's connection with Clem, many possibilities left with this season. Javier as a leader in Richmond or not, Gabe, Kate, David, Jesus, Joan or Clint etc.
Too much unfinished business here.
I am hoping for too much? ...maybe not?!.....we might get some cut scenes from season 3 show up in season 4 or maybe a complete New Frontier and intense side story?

I think that they already tried doing that and had failed so many times. Clem's story is interesting if they just follow on from there people aren't going to be as bored as they were with season 3.

Agreed. We do not need more new bland and trash characters. This is why there is no hope for this series. All good characters have been killed off or not used properly. To be honest this goes back to season 2 where they killed off Omid for shock purposes and wrote Christa out, then they waste Carver who seemed as an intriguing villian(at first at least).
There is no hope for season 4. Just accept it. It will be trash.
Exactly. Clem being alone by the end of the Season exemplified that she was now taking on a more independent role. That's at least excusable, but doing the exact same thing twice now is just so annoying. Carry the characters you already have over for God's sake.
Only hope now is announcing anf was a spin-off and make an actual season 3 or better yet re-write season 2.....but that won't happen will it.

I think that the fan base is just so in love with Clem that if she dies or is non playable forever a lot of fans (including myself) will probably boycott the rest of the series.

I used to imagine the world of The walking Dead. In places like europe people lives extremly good, in towns, collaborating, while in USA people like to kill their neoigbours lol.
Well, I actually think that most of people expected that was going to happen. Why I personally don't like S3 is because the episodes were too short, making the story seem and feel too hasty and not giving you enough time to get to know the characters' backstories (or sometimes even a peak of them) before Telltale kills off almost all of them, like they always do. Whole playing felt kind of boring and a bit purposeless to me then, though it got better during the last 3/2 episodes, but it still cannot be compared to S1, which was in my eyes a true masterpiece. I understand that the episodes were coming out with much longer breaks, but at least they were worth it. I also noticed a lot of re-used graphics and I'm not talking about the zombies here at all, more of the surroundings. Everything would be great if they only made episodes longer. I don't think that the season was completely bad, but it lacked a lot of creativity and felt exceedingly sloppy therefore. They still did a great job, regarding how short the episodes were and managed to include as much of various elements as possible, thanks to which the story was at least partly saved. As a perfectionist, in my eyes, a lot of potential this season had was wasted. At first, I thought that S2 was bad, because of its storyline. In the S3 there was a lot more action and I also liked all of the flashbacks, but I didn't connect with the characters like I suprisingly did in S2. All in all, I'm kind of curious what to except of S4, but Clem and AJ will make me buy the game this time, no matter what I suppose. I really think that the upcoming season is going to be more than just interesting and there is a lot of possibilities to connect with the comics storyline and meet some of the characters. I'm not such a fan though. I ended reading the comics when I reached issue 83 I think. Nonetheless, I mainly want to see more Clementine and be a part of her adventure on the journey to find AJ.

I don’t see why there is so much hate on season 3. Personally my favorite season, it’s the only season where I felt human and I wasn’t surronded by cry babies and people who duidn’t understand (except for Gabe) I actually felt like I was human, vs season two I felt like I was surrounded by psycho paths and nobody felt human. much better approach in season 3 then season 2 in my opinion
I have played every season and every alternative endings....and I can say it...what they are thinking...and that is
They want to bring back that moment from season 1 to season 4 between Lee n Clem but this time its Clem n AJ.
This is our mistake I guess we...are asking them from long time to bring back season 1 memories....and they will do it !! They have misunderstood us...everyone of us must tell them that we want that experience but this time Clem N AJ Lives....or Clem discovers a cure with the help of AJ. Please.... everyone !!! They have to know ! We just can't survive anymore shocking endings !!
