They've been picking up on how tripp feels with Eleanor for so long now, he's obviously not going to make it too her/something will change his mind or he'll atleast say it too her whilst he's dying. But anyway, I think Eleanor is apart of the new frontier, it would explain why she always wears a scarf to "cover" her new frontier symbol, and also why Joan looks exactly like a biological mother. Maybe tripp will about to confess his feelings and then she like shoots him or something lol

It doesn't seem like telltale has interested in doing much with Eleanor's character and she's just "there". I do find it interesting how Joan and Eleanor do look very similar which could be a coincidence of similar models.

I don't see how she could be apart of the New Frontier, if no one recognized her. Lingard, David, Ava, and everyone else would of known if she was apart of the New Frontier.
I think Tripp dies sometime during Ep4, they developed his character for too long now + when I heard him he said he's going to confess his feelings to Eleanor I knew he will die
The worst she could do to him is say that he isn't that handsome (which would be a lie) I just don't see how Eleanor being New Frontier could make sense.
Then again I thought a certain character being a traitor wouldn't make sense and I ended up changing my mind when it happened.
I just hope that it doesn't turn into a 'reluctant girl ends up swooning into the arms of man' story.
Episode 3 really annoyed me when one minute Tripp said 'It didnt work out and I respect her wishes' and the next he's like 'I'M GONNA TELL HER I LOVE HER' like seriously?

my guess is that Eleanors and Joans character models are similar because the animation team caught that "lazy" bug from the writing team
In all seriousness though, Tripp wants to confess his love, so he'll die and probably confess with his last breaths. Eleanor really hasn't had any major screen time or development so she'll probably die mourning over Tripp's body. And I think this bad thing that you think might happen is probably that Eleanor sticks a cheeky thumb up his dead rectum

I think the fact that you assumed he meant Jane says a lot about her.
I must be blind because I don't think Eleanor and Joan look that much alike hah, they're both asian but that's it (at least to me).
That theory would still be kinda cool but I don't think it'd happen. I think the way they look like each other is just a coincidence. I mean, during season 2 a lot of people made theories about Carver being Luke's dad because they looked alike, but it wasn't the case in the end.
Also, if Eleanor was from the New Frontier, Clementine would know about it, wouldn't she? Or she would've exposed her when Conrad accused her of being New Frontier in ep.2. Or at least David would know, as he's one of the leaders. He saw her in the cell and didn't seem to know her. That's why I don't think Eleanor is from the New Frontier, but it's possible that she'd be Joan's daughter, even though I personally don't think so.
Though I'd really like to see more development for Eleanor and learn more about her. Tripp should get a little more development too. Because for now all I know about him is that he likes Eleanor. So come on Telltale, make these characters memorable (and let us flirt with Eleanor again pls).

I doubt she's stooped that low. After all, why bother exposing someone else when you didn't want that to get out in the first place? All she'd be doing is pointing figures so she doesn't go down alone at Eleanor, Tripp, and Kate's expense.
It is worth noting that Clementine likely never met Joan before, along with the fact that she was ordering operations right under David's nose, so she may very well have connections to Eleanor.
