I don't get what the big deal is with Gabriel... like, seriously, if he likes Clementine, then he likes Clementine. The fandom really needs to get over it; Clementine isn't a little girl anymore.
I don't think TellTale would do that. Gabe is a really hateable character. (I don't understand why people hate him so much, he's just a teenager.) I think if Clem dies TellTale would "pass the torch" to AJ.
What I always found interesting about that is the fact that, in stark contrast to previous Seasons, Clementine was somewhat feared and disliked by most of the characters at the beginning of ANF. But Gabe was one of the few who seemed cool with her--not sycophantically obsessed, just cool.
Now, while this is somewhat heartwarming in most circumstances, Gabe was established at one point as potentially becoming his father--the then presumed Big Bad--by Kate, who asked Javier to guide him in the way he should go and make sure that won't happen. So this could've easily been foreshadowing of him becoming a more violent and/or amoral character just as much as a sign that there's still good in Clementine that he can see.

Yeah, like, I don't get why everyone hates Gabe for even just talking with her. Of course, he likes her, but that's nothing to be concerned about. He's alright. (And I will literally be heartbroken if he dies too - Javi and David ((if Kate dies)) will lose the only family they ever had!)
True, but I doubt a teen like him could turn so bad in a matter of a few days/weeks. Like, it's possible, but with Javi around, I think it would be possible to prevent that from even happening.

I hope you're joking. If Clem dies, and they make a Season 4, no one would ever buy it. It's bad enough she isn't the main focus of this Season, but killing her would destroy the series. Gabe couldn't possibly carry any Season, ever. Too many people hate him - and for good reason.

That's what I'm saying: it's an interesting opportunity for a subplot around his character's morality(which is actually pretty strong when you think about it) and the conflict centered around his admiration/respect of David/Clementine somewhat worrying the others. Not particularly a Romeo and Juliet scenario, mind you, but it's kind of a concern that's blatantly there but the story isn't really doing much with.

And what? Play as a two year old? That would be terrible.

If Gabe gets the same treatment as Mariana I might just forgive this season for being so bad, that would totally make my day!
