Well, I don't because I always felt like Eleanor was the more interesting character of the two and I really didn't a repeat of that whole "Two chicks can get with the same guy, so clearly one has to be bad" thing that people hyper-focused on in regards to Carley and Lilly.
Plus, I also didn't like how they pulled that shit with Kenny in Season 2 for the sake of justifying everything he did wrong, so that didn't help either.
Okay, so I didn't know if this was too broad to go in my general questions thread and I'm very stingy about making threads in general, so I'… morell be bumping this for people to discuss.
Anyway, may I ask: Why couldn't it have been Tripp who was the one who betrayed the group?
She's like a whore cuz she sold her intire group just for protection and food....most whores work their asses to pay rent and eat lol elawhore is the same thing
When Eleanor meets Javi and Clem for the first time, she wants to help them find Kate, Mari and Gabe for some reason and she ends up betraying all of them. Question is, why did she want to help Javi find his family when they just met recently?
Absolutely! I always felt Kenny had it right when he didn't trust certain people and they turned out to be shitbags! I guess he and Clem have Pete's bullshit detector eh? Lol
She alludes to having missing family herself and it's sorta implied that she has a desire to help people in general, which may have played into her decision to side with Joan: trying to take her out in public would no doubt lead to a civil war that would get people hurt, after all.

I agree she stabbed Javier and the group in the back, what a (TRAITOR) after alll the previous stuff she has done for Javier like cleaning his wound up and if you choice to take her to the junkyard to save your family. No way she's gotta go just like (Lily) did too Carley/ Doug in the road.
Clementine was right about her, Tripp is too good for her and she also got her ex-boyfriend killed depending if your going too save Ava/Tripp.
"So yeah with that being said she will get what's coming for alerting (Joan) that their coming too save (David) she decides too save her own skin and betray them." Let's just hope we can get an option too spare (Eleanor) or dispose of her. I honestly love thie suspense of the game Telltale has done a great job on keeping us on our toes and I have too give them the (tip of the hat) for it.
I let Conrad live so in my run Eleanor's betrayal isn't so bad since she seemed hesitant and unsure, it's as if she just wanted a peaceful resolution. Anyway, I think Eleanor can definitely be redeemed because Conrad now is my favourite Prescott character even though he tried to kill Javi, his brother and take Clem hostage.

Definitely agreed.
even though he tried to kill Javi, his brother and take Clem hostage.
Gabe is Javier's nephew--David is his brother. Easy mistake, I know.
Since Conrad is still alive in my game, and given the fact that Eleanor is also on good terms with Javi, and additionally, how she has been characterized so far this season, the betrayal just doesn't add up ... That being said, I know this is an unpopular opinion, but until I know what her motivations were, I'm willing to give Eleanor the benefit of the doubt.
I think the issue with Eleanor is that she placed her trust in the wrong people. So, if anything, she is naive. Kind of like Ben from S1. Ben made many terrible decisions and mistakes, which jeopardized many lives, but ultimately, he's not a bad person. Ben thought that by working with the raiders, there would be less casualties. He's essentially a pacifist. This is all conjecture, but I am going off the idea that Eleanor had similar intentions. Perhaps she believed that since the community saw her in a favorable light, she could somehow influence the others and prevent anyone from dying.
Another issue that I have with her betrayal is Tripp. If Eleanor meant to betray Javi and the others, how do we explain her reaction when Joan kills Tripp or if Javi chooses to save Ava? She seems visibly upset during both scenarios. I see a lot of people blaming Eleanor for Tripp's death, and while I am in agreement with that for the same reason that I blamed Ben for Duck and Katjaa's deaths (so more in the sense that naivety was the main cause of death) I also want to believe that she didn't realize what would actually happen by negotiating with Joan.
Again, just all theory. Obviously, I could be wrong. I was wrong about the possibility of Eleanor ever betraying the group, but at this stage, I just don't know if I could call her traitor, at least just yet until we get all of the facts. (I do, however, see this as a possibility if Conrad is dead in your game, since there would be no reason for her to remain loyal to Javi.)

It's also worth noting a key difference: Ben knew what the Save Lots Bandits were capable of from personal experience; Eleanor didn't really know Joan.

Yes, definitely. Another reason for her naivety. Just also think about how quickly she was willing to leave the same night she just met Javi to go on a rescue mission with him.

I hope so, cause she can gun down Javier and arrest Gabe at the beginning of Thicker than Water.

While yes it's her fault that Tripp and Ava were captured I still think she did it without any sort of malicious intent in mind.
Doug, Omid, Luke, Pete, Sarah, Walter, and Sarita would like have a word with you.
Whoa, I though I'm the only one who chose Tripp to die just to hurt Eleanor. Whatever happened next ruined everything
This would make even less sense if Conrad is alive. At least Eleanor has said multiple time that she wants to stay.
Only one word can sum up her intire charecter : Elawhore
...So she offered her body to Joan and her people to buy into their good graces?
I know it's a joke, but wha...?
You're telling me, I'm one of the people who shipped Javi x Eleanor, and I didn't even kill Conrad! It didn't make any sense!
Now Kate hates me (and possibly is dead), Tripp hates me, Ava is dead, Clint is dead and the ship is officially sunk no matter what I chose.
Thanks Telltale.

Haha! Shit! You're right! And i liked most of the list you said too. Doh!
On the other hand i did say "usually" can't be trusted

I still distrust her sorry ass for selling Javi out.
Well, obviously. Though she more sold out Tripp and Ava, even if it might have been indirect, than Javier, who she essentially just tattled on.
never play any cards game with that guy
Eleanor was my bae
I don't see that Eleanor can be your bae if she betrayed you.
Maybe she is the one that made her betray us.
Sorry, but Im going to kill your bae.

Maybe, she can save Javier and Clementine from (The New Frontier) that would be Awsome.
notice the past tense

Excuse me. Didn't check your profile.
it's cool! just clarifying
Haha

Eleanor ratting you out was about as cheap as Bonnie and that other guy fleeing with Arvo in season 2.
