Will S3 Ending have a emotional effect like the other games

I dont cry much.. but one thing that got me was s1 and s2 endings. Lee's death was one of the saddest vg deaths of all time. Clem and lee were so close. and i died when kenny begged for clem to stay in wellington (either leaving clem with his hat or staying with him) and after i got those endings i went back to see the other's and see kenny laying there shot . telling me he scared to die. ooh boi. i was done. (jane endings were bullshit... but whatever) but i dont really see this game pulling that type of ending off. I dont feel emotionally attached with these s3 characters. they barely traveled with eachother. what like a week.. only scene that got me was when aj was ripped away from clem. (imma fuck david up for that watch). the only characters most mainly connected to people are clem aj half and half javi. (and conrad if you managed to keep that unlucky bastard alive this long... but not emotionally connected thou) some people kate but that bitch dead. So how will they pull it off. or is there just going to be no emotional ending this time around. only thing i can think of is have a emotional death for aj. but that wont get everyone. plus he was barely in this game, and he has no connection to javi so it doesnt make sense. i guess they could kill clem but that would cause one of the biggest internet shitstorm ever . plus again barely a connection between characters. gabe's death. yeah id be crying.... of laughter . god i hope that bitch die. but again these characters barely have a connection. while in the other games you spend more time with characters. they bond. they go threw hell together. s1 finding clem. the mcneil's ranch. helping kenny with his family's deaths. losing clem. being a bad ass and going threw a horde of zombies to get her back. all the time you spent together. all the bonding. s2 find luke's group. the carver thing the pregnancy . trying to get kenny and jane to come to campfire and bond with the rest of the group. (i know there was way more but this is just a few representations) those games were way more of a representation of a family then . Family isnt always blood. javi's "family" is dysfunction as a hell dont get me fucking started on the whole. brother's wife thing. or gabetine shit. anyway ranting aside. do you think telltale will pull of some super episode to fix the faults of this game and give us yet another emotional ending

No. I can't picture sad endings at all specially when every character is tediously drab. Whatever they pull out of their sleeve will make me laugh than cry.

Maybe a final choice would be Clem choosing to stay with Javi or going on by herself again. With AJ of course.

  • Sure, happy tears when at the end they show a teaser for season 3.

Yeah while I'm definitely a Clem fan before Javier fan. I would suppose that if they must have a tragically sad and jarring ending then it would possibly have to be them offing Clem. It'd be more of a mad ending.. than sad ending though.

Would however be quite entertaining to see the internet mayhem of folks loosing whatever is left of their real life minds over a fictional character, and you thought the Kenny or Jane choice led to a lot interesting forum discussions? That's the only other thing I'd imagine would get folks talking and hollering for about 5 years.lol

Javi biting the dust would not effect that many and look like a waste to some or good riddance to others. So nah I doubt this round will end on a tearful send off.

  • Episode 4 saved the game for me. I think they can make a great finale.

  • I severely doubt there will be an emotional ending to the series since ANF has been pretty underwhelming, inconsistent, lackluster and poorly written. There are no characters at this point who I would be genuinely emotional about dying like Lee or Kenny's death. Regardless of how ANF ends I will be joyfully happy it is over and done for good.

  • I don't know...

  • The only ending that could make me cry now would be Clementine or AJ's death... God please no.

  • Nah, it seems like it's leaning towards keeping some determinants alive and having a few people moving onwards to the next season.

  • They will try to use AJ as a tearjerker, I guarantee that.

  • i feel like Conrad dying would make me sad althought it would be anger if it was Badly done but since they have done great with him as a determinant character thus far and as a character overall i have to say i would be Sad if Conrad cannot be saved in episode 5 .

  • Nothing will make it emotional, unless they kill aj or clem... not in a ''kate'' way but in a lee way, but knowing telltale they'll probably kill them like kate

  • Same here! I don't think this ending will be dramatic or something like that ;) .

If they actually give Lingard the Conrad treatment, I could see some potential emotional scenes with him in episode 5, whether he dies or reunites with David, finding out he's okay.

David is my favorite season 3 character. They also have potential with him to hit me on some level with some of his scenes.

Clem finding AJ is almost guaranteed to be emotional as hell.

This episode's Kenny flashback hit me pretty hard, although that doesn't really count. I don't know if they'll ever be able to top the season 2 ending for me. That ending left me a sobbing mess. I don't think it's impossible for them to have some emotional scenes in the season 3 finale, though.

  • Wtf is the McNeil's ranch?

  • I doubt Kate is dead.

Nothing will make it emotional, unless they kill aj or clem... not in a ''kate'' way but in a lee way, but knowing telltale they'll probably kill them like kate

  • Nothing has or will ever be as well done as the Lee ending.

  • It's supposedly where AJ is.

    Wtf is the McNeil's ranch?

  • I doubt so, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. For as much as I love the endings to the previous seasons, they were only emotional because nearly EVERYONE died. It's time to shake things up. Maybe this season will have a happy ending with Javi and Clem taking over Richmond and leading it into a......NEW FRONTIER. Terrible jokes aside, I don't think that every season needs to be a bawl your eyes out because everyone is dead scenario. I can't wait to see what they do.

  • yup. me neither

glad im not the only one

  • Nah, it won't because they change the cast every single season and kill them all off.

  • That's the McCarrol ranch

I dont need emotional ending, just pls i wanna see Kate dead in the car cuz shes starting to piss me off. I would be really happy to see Gabe get devoured by walkers and Clem laughing at it. If i get this, i will rate this game 11/10.

  • Possibly. I certainly hope so. Someone posted a theory (I don't remember which user) that Clementine arrives at the ranch where AJ is being held, but soon discovers that he's with a nice family and that he's probably better off with them. That might be a nice heartfelt moment right there.

  • I don't think so. The last two endings didn't make me cry in the first place (the closest being season one). I would be more angry that Clem dies than sad if that happens. I don't like the concept of Javi dying and my stomach dipped when I thought David died, despite him being an ass a majority of the time, just because I knew what that would do to the characters. All of this aside, I doubt it'll be as emotional as the rest.

  • i was talking bout the st. john diary place
got them confused with the mcniel's from gta5 for some reason. idk havent played the game in like a year so

    That's the McCarrol ranch

  • just realised it was the st john's . for some reason i got them confused with the mcneils from gta5. dont ask why

  • Seeing as I have no attachment to any of the characters this season, no I really don't think I will care, maybe if Conrad finally meets his unavoidable death. As for Clem, the writers already ruined her character beyond repair might as well kill her off now.

  • I would find that incredibly sad and heart-breaking. Especially if we then had to choose whether to let him stay with the family, or to let him go with Clementine again.

  • I can't see this season's endings being as good as the first two. I think most of us can agree that we don't feel very emotionally invested in the characters in this story, so no matter who dies it really won't matter. I'm hoping for the best though. Maybe they'll pull something outta their sleeve.

  • I'd give it a 11/10 too if Clem laughs at Gabe's death.
