Thoughts on Season 3 Episode 4

-Gabes a beta cuck. Clem can do better.
-#WhentheFlashbacksarebetterthantheactualstory
- Javier turned into a Lee during the stitching scene. Clem doesn't need to kill others for Info. Need more of these moments.
- We need a Season 3 Lee flashback and model ASAP or I will be upset.
- Javier is fucking ripped
-Kenny receives more screentime. Thank you Telltale.

Parting thoughts of wisdom: Congratulations all, we were all there for Clem's first period. Damn we've come a long way.

God I wish clem knew the password to lingard's computer so she could have looked that shit up herself XD

  • I was honestly surprised that they had working computers in Richmond, even with the electricity and everything.

I mean, I guess he could play solitaire with it or something.

  • I still think this episode was the best outta this whole season.Kennys Flashback was well done, Clem had a lot of screen time, which is nice. But again, could be even longer. I'm exited for the 5th episode!

  • Heh. Yeah we know that Lingard. Always fucking off all of his medical databases he keeps on there :3 I assume the power is coming from a makeshift generator they made or something, or perhaps they somehow got the electricity running for that certain part of the state.

  • I loved it. My favorite episode of the season so far. Only criticism is the scene in the truck with Kate. By god, was that cringey. But other than that, the episode was great.

  • Other than Conrad and Lingard in the episode it was pretty lackluster, poorly written, poorly paced, unnecessary love drama, failed cliffhanger and unrealistic to a point. Why people are praising the flashbacks as much as they are is beyond me.

  • We need a Season 3 Lee flashback and model ASAP

Are you sure? Judging from ANF's style of storytelling, Lee will be presented only as a plot device, and his deep story reduced to a flat and meaningless flashback, in which he wears a cardboard mask and speaks with shoddy sentences.

If TT wants to bring back Lee, they can do using a different manner, for example using his voice, telling Clementine what to do, giving her advice or reassuring her when scared. It would be a nice, simple way which would refer to what Clem can mention in the flashback, that Lee was with her in her heart and was guiding her all along.

All the PR about episodes 1 and 2 being a 2-part episode, yet this one feels like part 1 of a 2-parter. All in all it felt like a season finale that just ended halfway through, which isn't a bad thing. Ordinarily episode 3 or episode 4 of Telltale games are slow and, honestly, kinda boring. However, most likely due to how episodes 1 and 2 probably should've been 1 episode, episodes 3 and 4 have been very exciting and awesome.

I loved that new Kenny flashback. Of course, I'm quite aware the scene is there to "pander" to the old school fans and try and make up for the flashbacks from episode 1, but damn it worked. Seeing Kenny again, talking about family, reminiscing about past events and either getting the option to hug him again or tell him "we love you" hit me like a ton of bricks. For anyone that got the Kenny flashback, what did you do? I hugged him but I think in future playthroughs I'll be telling him "we love you" because my Clem already hugged him back in season 2 and, well, my Clem does love Kenny as if he was her own dad.

I'm kinda pissed about the Tripp/Ava choice to be honest. It was just another cheap shock value death. Surprising as hell on a first playthrough, but now it just makes future playthroughs awkward. Do I save Tripp and have him be pissed at me? Or do I "save" Tripp and have him die knowing I was trying to spare him?

If you choose to shoot Joan, do they kill David? I decided to accept the deal because it seemed (relatively, given the circumstances) fair and we did have an armored car to drive away in. Shooting Joan just seemed like a crazy plan that wouldn't work.

Final verdict: episode 4 was a great episode. I'm very excited for the season finale. Although I wish we had more time to conclude season 2's story, even if only through flashbacks, season 3 is shaping up to be a pretty good season. David is probably my favorite non-season 1 character.

  • I really liked this episode a lot. It was intense, I haven't felt like that since "A House Divided". I have replayed episode 1 and 2 and I have not noticed any changes. But in episode 3 and 4, there were a lot of determinant scenes.

I liked how the characters react different depending on how you treat them. Hell, David huged me in one of my saves and hit me on another.

The Kenny flashback was well done. The scene at the square was one of the season's best scenes to me.

I hope episode 5 worth the wait.
