Why didn't they just say from the beginning that this was Javier's story?
I would have respected them a hell of a lot more if they had just been honest with us and say that Clementine is irrelevant to the story and it's about Javier and his boring ass family.

They knew that Clementine would bring in more cash from fans who wanted to continue her story, but got stuck with an uninteresting new cast of characters.
honestly idk.
seems like telltale want to fuck the fans over every chance they get
i guess since 90 percent of the fan base is attached to clem . they thought they could just use this game as a easy cash grab while they work on other fucking shitty games
Because misleading long time fans into buying season pass with zero hesitation is more profitable than being honest?
isnt there literally a quote where they say this is Javi's story
They didn't start saying this was Javier's story until right before the release. In the behind the scenes video they casually said "Javier is the protagonist and this is Javier's story". Prior to that they were selling it as a tales from the borderlands dynamic. Jobs said "no character will take the back seat" implying clementine would be a co-main character.
At this point it's 100% obvious telltale does not care the slightest about clementine or even cares enough to give her meaning. I laughed when I saw a staff member in the recent AMA saying how they loved clementine and they always remembered her as the little girl in the treehouse. You "love" her so much that you relegate her to a meaningless afterthought with no purpose or contribution to the story. It's pretty sad that the two main highlights of clementine is a hug and her talking about her period and possibly becoming pregnant.
I heard that TellTale was unprepared this entire season that they rewrote this season multiple different times. That originally Clem was supposed to be co-protagonist or original protagonist but they cut so much shit on Clem's side and decided that they rather try to focus just on Javier and his family.

Didn't that literally come less than a week before it Launched, from steams description? Like a week before they said it was following our favorite Spaniard and his useless Familia?
Because they were rewriting so much they didn't know what kind of story it was going to be.
