Gabe's Ultimate Fate

Well Episode 5 of A New Frontier is coming very quickly, and we all know this is going to be a very crazy episode of the walking dead. Because this game overall has been getting very mixed reviews. So we all know that Telltale has got themselves a handful (not going into detail) and this will most likely cause a unavoidable internet shitstorm.

So i know what you may be thinking. This IS another ClemXGabe form?!?

Well the answer is yes and no. But what i feel that will be the different about this thread compared to others is that i hope that together as a fanbase we can decide gabe's fate that will work for everyone. Or the majority. Or at least better understand why people feel the way they do.

So i figured first. (To make this more organised) We will split people into a basic category

  • Pro Gabe
  • Con Gabe
  • Unsure

So we got people who like gabe. Support the character and believe he has room for development. Then There is people who support clemXgabe. The can both be placed in Pro Gabe
Con gabe. Speaks for itself. people who do not like gabe at all. most likely dont support clemXgabe
Unsure. Those people with mixed feelings. More of the idk how to feel yet. or the as long as clem is happy people . or maybe people who do not support clemXgabe but still like gabe

(yes i know there is alot about clemXgabe in the categories but honestly this is one thing that heavily affects people opinion of him)

Okay now its time to go more into theories and speculation for gabe's fate... Lets just use the multiverse theory as a guideline.

  • Multiverse 1: Gabe's Death By The End Of Episode 5
  • Multiverse 2: Gabe Surviving Till Season 4

Okay not that we got basic summaries of how episode 5 will end for gabe lets start off by adding theories for Multiverse 1 Endings

  1. Gabe dies in the herd of zombies entering the new richmond
  2. Gabe's father dies. Blame's Javi for his death and tries to kill him. ending with clem finishing him off
  3. Javi has to choose Gabe's fate over another characters
  4. Gabe dying to save clem

This list could go on for days because there are so many ways too die. But in reality i could write all those possibilities. But in the end. Gabe is just dead. So i dont believe multiverse 1 needs that treatment. (but feel free to make your own list if you want too)

Okay Multiverse 2

  1. Gabe lives too next season. Confesses his feeling to clem and gets rejected
  2. Gabe lives too the next season. confesses his feelings and gets accepted
  3. Gabe lives to next season and becomes our playable character
  4. Gabe decides he wants to stay with his father in the end and javi goes on his own merry way (Or Javi Decides For Him)

Again here we could write dozens of more detailed descriptive endings. But were gonna keep things basic for now. (feel free to comment a better ending if you thought of one. Else lets just stick with what we got)

Now here comes the complicated part. Trying too come up with endings that would make the most people happy. Personally id go for a 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, or a 2.4. myself
Okay in order to find out what ending people would like most we got to consider the following
how many people like gabe and hate gabe. Now overall i believe more people hate gabe. at first i thought it was a 90/10 ratio but recently it seemed to hit more of a 60/40 with more gabe supporters speaking there mind. Next we should think of why people like gabe and why people hate him. im not going to make one for unsure. cause its just a mixure of the two

Hate

  • Because of the shit he pulled in episode 4 (conrad thing. Calling Javi a coward)
  • Because of clemXgabe
  • His face
  • That stupid orange beanie
  • his voice
  • Thinking like his dad.
    Again i know these arent ALL the reason's people hate him. and maybe people who hate him dont agree with those reason's but there just basic ones ive seen the most lately

Like

  • because of caring qualities
  • because he's just a teen
  • because of clemXgabe
  • because of possible character development
  • because he is david's son. (javi's nephew)

So okay we got a couple pro's and cons to gabe. Lets think more in terms of getting that fate for gabe that most people will be happy with
So we already know that the clemXgabe is the main reason why telltale is getting so much shit for gabe. (personally i believe its outta of character forced garbage and terrible writting by telltale) so its probably best our universal ending involves no clemXgabe. or leave it as a choice for players. But i believe that the best move for telltale is too go into different directions with the two. Send them on different paths that may cross again one day. and leave the romance as a thing that never happened. i believe this type of ending would leave the pro gabe and con gabe people kinda happy with the ending. Because it would give us a chance to do right by gabe. leaving him with his father. Now maybe people would want to keep gabe with you. maybe people would want leave him with the herd or walkers. idk but i feel as though (unless david dies) this would be more what he would want to do. but lets be honestly. Most people who are pro gabe DGAF wither gabe goes out wih clem or not. Or they just want clem "to be happy"... But they will want to see gabe make it out okay. and as for the people who dont like gabe most of them dont need him dead. just gone . away from them.

But hey . That's just speculation . Game speculation . Thx for Reading
and if you have a better idea or hypothesis please share your thoughts. i just think this would be the less hectic way for things to go down with him. and as for the people who support clemXgabe they will be all over whatever teen makes it into season 4 too.
