...explain why the hell he was gone so long after they were initially split up? He ends up running into a new group and helped start TNF, but never seems to want to go back to check on his family. Javi and the family even made a point about staying at the house longer than they should just to wait for him. Is there something I'm missing here, or is David that much of a scumbag?
This feels like a conversation that needs to happen between the family before the season wraps up. Maybe even have Gabe upset that his dad bailed on them and isn't the hero he thought he was.

He mentioned something about not being able to get back into town, which makes some sense since Javier had a hard time getting home to see his Papa off due to traffic.
