Who would you save in the final episode? David/Kate ????

this came to my mind and I had some theroys on the finale episode ANF I'm just curious if they put this I have a funny feeling you have to save Ethier Kate or David. Because they might me determanit characters for the next season. It would be a great and tough (scenario) too chose from I mean both Kate and David are good characters in all even tho they have their issues.

Tell me what do you guys think , who would you save and why?

  • David because

    1. He is my brother.
    2. Kate is annoying with her relationship on me, she still despises her husband.
    3. He is more capable at survival.
  • Let the timer run out and kill both.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Lmao.

Let the timer run out and kill both. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • David - I just feel he brings more to the story. However, knowing him, David would most likely hound my ass for choosing him over Kate, so...

  • Although David is my favorite character this season, I would definitely save Kate. She's a good person, I'm officially with her, and David is unpredictable.

  • Kinda reminds me of seaon1 with Dough/Carly and when you saved him he had survivors guilt for not choosing Carly over him.

    Good point.

  • Kate, obviously.

  • I might be tempted to save David if Gabe is dead, but I'd probably choose Kate regardless.

I'd save Kate. I don't really care for David in general.

David seems a little all over the place in terms of personality and writing, especially with his desire to take his remaining family off Javier's hands without his own brother's thoughts on the matter, and this is after he admitted in a flashback that he'd rather go back to the army and have Javier take his place as their 'dad', from what I've gathered. It's also ironic that he punches and chides Javier for not appearing on time when their father were on his deathbed, when David himself barely seemed to have tried to go looking for Kate, Gabe, and Mariana again during the three month period after the apocalypse had started, and he barely gives a good enough excuse as to why he wasn't even able to get back into his own house in that three-month period.

I get that the years will have changed him, but it's hard to take what he says about family seriously when he kicks out Clementine and steals AJ from her hands for stealing medicine to treat a baby, all while talking about how 'AJ should have been left in the woods ages ago'. Not only that, he ignores Dr. Lingard doing the exact same thing as Clementine but for more selfish reasons. I also recall how he doesn't even know AJ's current whereabouts other than that he's in Richmond, whereas the doctor supposedly knows and gives out a location. How does someone like David, who was the one to steal AJ from Clementine, not know where the baby is?

And then there's how he disregards his son's life to go after Joan if she is still alive by asking him to risk his life to join his fight when he should have been keeping to his word about protecting his family, not endangering his only son.

Kate just seems more of a likable person than David is to me, even if she is a little pushy about wanting to be with Javier than David and doesn't exactly take rejection well. At the end of the day I can buy that she at least tries to be a good parent to Mariana and Gabe, but as for David? I've yet to see any convincing moments where he behaves like a father. Hell, even though I don't like Kenny at all, I can acknowledge that Kenny takes more interest in being a family man than David does.

  • True, he usually flip flops on everything, he's no right in his mind as a character .

  • How is that even a question? Only garbage people would save David.

  • I would choose to save Kate. While David is Javi's brother, there's a future to be had with Kate. While David is very capable, he seems to have some anger issues and from the looks of it, Kate seems like she's a very capable survivor as well.

  • I would be so damn torn. Despite David's issues he's my favorite character but I love Kate! And Javi finally confessed his feelings.

  • Okay dude, I'm gonna have to ask you to take a down a notch. No need to insult people directly for making a choice you don't agree with.

Kate- Clem knows best, she was right about Eleanor, so there's only a matter of time before she's right about David too.

  • Kate, so my Javi can get laid. Also, she's kinda hotter (heh) than David.

  • Neither if I could help it.

  • Yea, I'm gonna save the chick who who tried to run away with her husbands brother soon after he moved in with them because she didn't realize how much responsibility it would be to marry a military man who already has children, oopsies!

Because that's not a purely garbage person. Hopefully she's already dead in that truck and I won't have to bother.

  • Between the two, David in a heartbeat. Kate's just as incompetent and terrible as a person overall now as she was in the beginning.

  • Kate I guess. She's hurt, weak and has got fewer chances of getting out of a tough situation on her own. David can take care of himself.

  • David. I just don't really care about Kate. I like David because one he is my brother and two he is just an interesting character.

  • Yeah, now that you mention it, he'd likely make a beeline for one or the other himself.

  • The "chick" tried to run away? It was David who did verbally abuse her and made her want to leave. It was David who confessed to Javi that he wanted to abandon his family because being a "manly man" in the military would be easier than raising children and being a good husband.

Kate had every right to leave that idiot and protect the children from their crappy producer.

  • David. Don't really care for Kate.

There is need. I point out garbage as it is.
"Political correctness" is what led to Trump becoming president of the US and maniacs spreading evil all over the world. The time of soft talk is over, be it in privat or in public.

  • Why wasn't she upright and divorced then? She knew what she was getting in to marrying a man who was in the military who already had 2 children. Both are at fault.

  • Why do so many abused, poor women stay with their tormentors in real life? Because they are afraid. Who knows what an ex-soldier with serious anger-issues would've done to her or the children.

  • I'd save David because he's a rash but decent person and Kate wants to take off with her husband's brother. I like Kate, but my taught morals tell me to not go along with Kate and rather save a family member that, I personally, somewhat like.

  • David. He's my brother. He's also Gabe's father, whereas Kate is his step-mother that hasn't had his best interests at heart. I don't doubt for an instant that David would give his life for his son, and he was more than willing to risk his comfortable position in a community he's supported for a brother he hasn't always gotten along with. For many, that might be too little too late. But Eleanor betrayed us for that same comfortable living.

There is no indication David has been physically abusive, and Kate seems to be strong enough to handle him and herself.
Also David doesn't strike me like the psycopath that'd stalk her to no end, since he wanted to leave. He might've even understood if they had parted ways.

  • Whoever taught you "morals" must've fucked up big time then. Sorry for you, but there is always time to change. You got a brain between your own ears yourself, so think for yourself and don't just rely on what others told you when you were younger.
