Not really. He kind of apologizes later and not even Gabe or Clem comment on it ever again. Then he goes from wanting revenge to not caring about what happens at all. He's pretty much all over the place
While I get where you're coming from, you gotta remember that Conrad's motivation--and his vice--was wanting revenge for what happened to Francine by tracking down the man responsible. A man that, whether by his hand, Javier's, or Tripp's, is already dead by the time David is captured. He was once willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal, recognized that he was in the wrong, showed he was willing to step away from that path before he knew the group was unknowingly still on it, and decided to just pack it up and leave now that that business is done.

yeah that s ok i understand your point of view on not wanting to change your main save its just that i get annoyed with the people who say: ´´Well he was gonna shoot Gabe!´´ then immediatelly enter another thread talking about how much they hate Gabe.
I have 3 other saves, 2 of which i have Conrad alive in, but in my main save he is dead. I refuse to replay my main save because in games li… morenked to making tough decisions I love sticking to the ones I make, even if they are terrible. It makes the game more tense and I feel a real responsibility when making decisions.
I do still regret my decision partially though...but still the option at the time was giving up a teenage girl to a group who we see as a gang of bandits and murders who could hurt her or protecting her from that and saving my nephew from a man who is threatening their lives.
It doesn't make taking him hostage a good thing, even if you hate him.
I started to dislike Gabe in the following episodes (3-4). But my dislike for him doesn't justify someone else taking him hostage.

Conrad >>>>>>>>>>> Tripp.
Conrad pointed a gun at Gabe/Javier in the beginning, which is 'okay' considering they don't really knew each other, but Tripp starts to become an asshole during episode 3, just after saying "yes" to everything that Javi said, so bye.

its the same as in the borderlands game where there was another trick choice like this except it was who s plan you trust the other player c… moreharacter s or a psychopath Hologram . If you pick the player character Fiona then one of the people helping you ((your best friend in the game)) gets paralized for half the episode while if you pick the other character you get a new character helping you and everyone makes it out of the situation without anything major happening.
He intentionally holds a child at gunpoint related to the main character, points a gun at the main character and will only stop if you agree… more to sell another child member of the group to a murderous group who killed his wife and the main characters niece. Hes a monster in that scene and shooting him is the only sensible solution.
The fact he (sort of) says sorry later means nothing
Don't get me wrong, if I could've talked Conrad down from trying to sell Clem I'd have gone for it. But for me the second he held Gabe at gunpoint was when negotiations were over and he had to be put down. I don't hate Conrad at all, but when he makes himself a huge threat like that I'm not gonna shed tears for offing him.

That's cool that he gets good character development unlike the rest of the cast. Too bad I shot him in the face for being an asshole.
No he has more development he leaves the group to "figure out who the new Conrad is" then he comes back and can sacrifice himself for Javi.

Wait, why in episode 3?
Not actually 3, but definitely 4.

Agreed.
i dont really mind Tripp but i do agree Conrad s better than him.
Who gets paralized in it?
Doesn't everyone hate Gabe, though? I'd think people would praise Conrad for doing that with all the hate Gabe gets.
