why did they make us same in a weak spot for doing what it takes to save our loved once

In that situation when gabe sold out javi (if you shot conrad) javi seems in a weak spot like he did a bad thing by shooting conrad, yeah shooting conrad is bad from tripp point of view cus its his friend, but from my own view its not cus i did what it take to save my brother son and protecting clem too, but in the situation when gabe sold out javi javi seemed in weak spot like he is thinking he the wrong person and his the mistaking for saving his brother son from conrad, cus when tripp was raging on javi for killing conrad to protect his brother's so they didn't give us an option to say (yeah i did kill conrad and i will do it too to any one do the same thing conrad did) and they even could add this too (You already saw what i do to every one fuck around my family tripp and you ppl are not Different to me if did the same) that if you smashed badger head inn.
That the same thing what would kenny or joel or rick may do, they won't give a shit to any one, if is thier loved once on the danger line, and they don't care if other like that or not, and they will do it again if it that what it takes, that what i think kenny or joel or rick would say to tripp at that moment and that what i wanted javi to say to tripp and the others so none of them can mouth out or fuck around him and his family again.
So what are you think of this Scenario is it wrong or right, l mean its would have been good if they put that as an option better than making javi in a bad spot for doing what he had to do cus tripp wasn't thier and saw what conrad was like so he can't Judge javi for his choice.

  • Pretty disorganized message but I think I somewhat understood it. You mean to say "Why did they make Javi look/feel guilty when it's revealed that he killed Conrad, why didn't I get the choice to tell trip I don't regret what I did", right?

Well, first of all, you do get the option to provide the context of the situation. "He went nuts and was gonna kill Gabe and Clem, so I killed him." So you do get to defend yourself fairly. And Tripp thinks that he shouldn't believe Javi and Clem solely based on their say-so which is....not completely illogical really. And Conrad was his friend so his outburst was expected and understandable, even if it's not justified.

As for the wanting Javi to tell them not to mouth off or something. Or making him not feel or look guilty. I suppose you mean especially in regards to the last dialogue option before leaving Tripp and Eleanor. Why he always shows some kind of guilt and remorse. That's because otherwise might not have been within the confines of his character. As in, even though he is the player character we control to a degree and have him do stuff the way we want him. He'll never stray too far from the confines of his character and so, such choices will not be present. And that's the case here. Javi will, even when he's put in a situation where he's forced to do something(like kill a guy to save others), will still be sorry that this sort of thing had to happen. He's not Kenny,Joel or Rick either.

This applies for all player characters in other situations really. There might come a situation where we are like "I wish they'd give me the option to say this", but the option won't be there simply because it's way too out of character for the player character.(This can still also happen as a result of bad writing, or lazy writing to protect the plot)

  • You got a lot good points, the long story short that option may fit on Kenny or Joel or rick cud that the type of the character they are but javi not that type of character.
But still javi's character should be based on the player choices that mean he should act based on the way how the player think cud there is the players who does regret shooting Conrad and there is who doesn't, so TT should have make javi options of dialogues fit to both type of player.
