Do you all think David sorta act's like Kenny?
I for one do. What do you all think?
Oh and I would post a picture of David standingup on the thing holding Clint with a gun up on his head but with Kenny switched as David. But I have no idea how to do it so I guess imagine it. Zombiepizza or Kenny the almighty if you're ready this please do your magic and make that.

No they're different. I'd only compare their temper. Other than that David and Kenny are very different people.
They have a similar personality, that true.
However Kenny was willing to concede when he was wrong, at least when he calmed down. David however strikes me as a person who will continue to argue he is right even after he's realised that he is wrong.
It's difficult comparing the two, as we have a closer insight into David than we were granted with Kenny, certainly are allowed more vulnerability after the discussion at the ballpark. Playing as his brother ( rather than a stranger that became a friend/survival companion or a child he wants to protect ), we're treated to a rare moment of confession that's almost like voicing one's own inner monologue. In David's moments of anger, he's harsh with those around him, but here we discover he's always the harshest with himself. I don't know that we ever got a chance to see Kenny so self-depreciating. In spite of his efforts in life, he feels like a failure of a human being.
David is extremely combative mostly because the fight is all he feels he has to give, and what others want of him - first his country, later ANF. Duty is the security blanket he uses in place of feeling loved. He believes his parents cared more for Javier, even though he remained to assist them in their later years. His wife resents him ( as opposed to how supportive Katjaa appears to be ). He's estranged from his children - from being deployed and later the collapse of society. The strain of his financial situation is even mentioned, though his family is cared for, his wife is unsatisfied by it, and it's polarized by Javier's successful career ( even if that career came crashing down to the point where he had to live in his brother's house and be supported by him while he got back on his feet. )
It boils down to his view of his own worth being to kill and to die. Where I would say Kenny is a family man ( even after the loss of them, this transfers in S2 to a new love interest and Clem/AJ ), David is a man of duty. He functions off a sense of obligation to the titles he holds in life ( son, husband, father, brother ) more so than a sense of value in any of them.
Is it what you meant?
It saddens my heart to read you compare our Heavenly Saviour to David. Remember what our Lord Kenny said just before his premature departure: " Family is what you make it ". Would Kenny refuse a hot meal with his brother after their reunion? Would he throw his brother in a jail cell? I don't think so either. David too much agression, selfishness and greed in him have. However, I'm sure his redemption will occur soon and David will follow the path of our family caring Father who art in his majestic Boat.
Don't get me wrong, I love Kenny but the one thing that frustrated me about him was how persistent he was in wanting to get his own way and not even listening to other peoples suggestions/ideas before blowing them off unless someone was actually agreeing with him.
I wouldn't say they are exactly the same though. David seems to be a little more aggressive then Kenny was. Kenny was all about wanting what he felt was best for himself, others and his family.
To me, in my own opinion, David feels extremely selfish and is full of greed. Unlike Kenny, David doesn't have the same or share the same family bond that Kenny had, and yes I know David was seperated from his family for a while so that's how the two are different from one another.
I feel like David can redeem himself in this final episode but only time will tell.
THANK YOU. And yes I agree 100%with what you said. They sorta have moments where they act alike but they do have very different personalities. And no I was not trying to bring Kenny down onto this filthy peasent. I would never do that to the ALMIGHTY KENNY.
Ya
I disagree, Kenny was actually likeable in my opinion, and Kenny is still one of my favourite characters from The Walking Dead series because of his personality and characteristics which are alot different to David's I think, Kenny also cared for his friends and family, David claims to care but I think he is selfish from what I have seen so far (I have only played up to the start of episode 4).
But they are similar in some ways such as, they are both quite hot-headed, and wont give up in doing what they think is right and best for everyone.
Telltale's been constantly trying to create more Kennys (moreso in terms of what he is than how he functioned/worked) for a while now. So of course David would eventually draw that comparison. I'm just surprised more people didn't point it out given the initial flak ANF was getting.
Still, he fits my rules about reusing character concepts and types due to not only having a different personality and appearance, but also bringing plenty to the table that Kenny himself wasn't or wouldn't have been able to.
David is like a much younger and meaner version of Kenny. His plotline is probably a lot like the scrapped "Kenny is Carver" plot.
What?
Kinda.
Both Kenny and David are characters that can treat you different depending on how you treat them.
"I was wondering, if it was me asking you for help, asking you to put your life on the line, would yo be there for me? Cause there were a lot of times you aint been". - Kenny if you dont side with him.
"You have always been there for me Lee, always got my back when it mattered. What kind of friend would I be if I dont do the same for you? Bitten or not, I'm with you, till the end". -Kenny if you side with him.
"We have to find a way out of Richmond. All of us. This time tomorrow, we'll be together". - David if you did what he asked.
"After I brought you in. After I saved your asses. This is how you treat me? Betrayal? Lies? If we get out of here, you are on your own. Im through with you" - David if you dissobey him.
Also, both of them always try to do the best for their families. Kenny with Katjaa and Duck and David with Kate and Gabe.
Altough, I'd say that David's role is harder than Kenny's.
Just letting you know if you possibly forgot, in S2 E4 (Amid The Ruins) Kenny doubts himself very highly in one scene, and that his efforts are worthless and that he isn't any help to anybody. This is said in the tent scene. The other scene that comes to mind is that on the train in S1 Ep 3 (Long Road Ahead). When Duck is getting extremely ill and Katjaa urges Lee to tell Kenny to stop the train, in this scene players can be given the option to tell Kenny that he shouldn't feel that he is to blame for why Duck is bitten (after Kenny was in denial and believed karma wouldn't let his son live after not being able to save Hershel's son). Kenny prior to this moment constantly references back to that moment and has to have Lee console him at one point. That and the scene where (if given the choice) Kenny begs Clem to stay in Wellington without him as he isn't allowed a place 'You'll meet new people...You'll make friends...People better than me...Good people...That don't have to look at you and feel ashamed at what they've put you through' . Those are the scenes that comes to mind.
We need this to become more of a norm again rather than just designating it to a select few characters if possible.
Both are peoples with good heart but bad tempers.
I agree. In season two everyone treated Clementine the same way.
Its good to see that your choices have an impact on your relationship with others.
Yeah, just about.
The only characters of note I remember averting that issue to some extent(aside from Kenny and Lilly obviously) were Hershell, The Cancer Group in general(though most of them were only in one episode, they definitely had this aspect about them), Bonnie, Luke(not that he acted too differently, mind you), Carlos(for the one episode where it was barely worth a damn), Sarah, Arvo(I think?), and the Garcia Trio.
Thanks for posting these. I had forgotten / discounted it as a normal thing anyone would experience knowing they could do nothing to save someone they loved.
Boo fucking hoo you had to go in a cell for 5 minutes grow a pair of balls
