A few issues I wanted to bring up after my second play through of ANF

I realize that the last episode will not release till next week, so some of my observations may be shortsighted. However, I want to bring up some complaints now that I have had some real time to spend on this game. It seems this board is divided, some like the game, some hate the game, some are in the middle. To be honest, overall I enjoy this season.

Yes some of the episodes are shorter than past seasons. Before playing Season 3 I played 1 and 2. Even timed a couple episodes. It took me close to 2 hours to complete S1E1, taking time for all dialogue options. S3E1 took close to 1 hour 15mins, and that is being generous, while exploring all dialogue options.

I am in love with Clementine as a character. Her development has been well handled, in my opinion. However, I find the change in focus on Javier refreshing. I like that they are utilizing a different culture. Though, just because the main guy is called Javier and they use a little Spanish I would hardly justify this as "multicultural."

My main complaint deals with Tripp. It is weird we act like lifetime buddies when the timespan between episode 2 to 4 is what, a day, 2 at most? I have no feelings for this guy and yet he pleads with me when he is on stage. What is really messed up is that he is so quick to abandon his community, Prescott. That is what bugged me the most about this guy.

I know it sounds like I don't like this, while saying I am enjoying it. The drama has improved over the past couple episodes, the conflict and twists have surprised me a few times. Killing Lingard was a dark move, made the storyline deeper to me. Losing AJ, was hard and I enjoyed spitting in David's face during my second play. I don't even mind the flashbacks honestly. Some part of me needs closure for that storyline. Perhaps this adds to the discussion of what is good and bad about this season, perhaps not.

  • Oh. My. Goodness. Jackie.

Naw, but for real, tho, Tripp is definitely the top contender for weakest character imo.

  • Tripp is a boring character with no character development accept all he cares about is getting back with Eleanor again.
