Why did Christa survive her birth but Lori didn't?
When you give birth in a ZA it's dangerous to your health basically, when Lori gave birth in the prison she died from it.

Because people usually don't die by giving birth? Before we humans had medicine, we gave birth in dirty caves and made it.
They altered that for the tv show. Lori survives birth in the comics, however about the 700 to 800 women die each year during pregnancy or shortly after giving birth in the U.S.. Complications arise, even outside of a zombie apocalypse.
Whether or not you survive a birth depends on the individual person sometimes.
TV show Lori just got unlucky, unfortunately women can die from childbirth complications whether it be due to excess blood loss or other issues.

Not all women die when giving birth naturally. Lots of poor women have children in their own homes instead of hospitals, sometimes even on their own. Plus Christa is a fucking badas, while Lori is Lori.
Maggie said because Lori had a c section with Carl then she'd have to have Judith by c section too. If you rewatch the episode you can see Lori's previous scar. That's why Lori died, she was cut open. Christa would have had a natural birth

Not on the fucking comics, game isn't the same as show, it's in comics universe. In the comics Lori survives, she only dies in the show because Beth cuts her open. Also Lori got shot in the stomache and fell on Judith...
