Solid episode with lots of downsides and upsides. Not bad, but not great either.

    6/10

It was good when it came with choices and outcomes, but terrible when it comes to handling characters and that ending was something else. Hopefully Telltale will learn from their mistakes with treatment of determinant characters surviving the whole season. (Kenny and Jane).

  • 5/10 I really felt like every episode contained less and less Clem. In this episode she really became just an extra character.

    6.5/10
a lot of pros, such as one death in particular, improving characters, clem acting like herself, etc
but also a lot of cons, such as most of the deaths, cliffhanger at the end so they can milk the franchise even more, and lack of utilization of minor characters

  • 5.5/10. That ending is just insulting.

. @Findagon and @edgyclementine are pretty on point.

  • Probably would rate it 5/10. A few things weren't terrible and the credits soundtrack alone makes 2 out of the 5 points for me.

  • 9.5/10. I hate retreading what I've been saying all around the board but wow that was really rad, and pretty satisfying.

  • 5/10 worst episode we've ever had imo

  • 8/10.

I feel like so many people are giving it more hate than it deserves because they weren't fond of the story to begin with - but I really do think TellTale managed to wrap it up nicely with a variety of choices that actually influenced many different endings.

I don't think I've ever rated a Telltale episode this low, but this episode was a train wreck from start to finish. Some aspects were fine, choices and the conclusion to Javi's story in particular, but others either fall flat or were concluded poorly. There are a lot of plot holes, unanswered questions, unsatisfying comclusions to character and story arcs, a cheap setup for a sequel, characters either get written out or die lazily, and an "emotional" ending that doesn't feel earned.

Now, the episode is still new, I haven't seen all the outcomes, and my score can rise or fall a bit depending on what I see. However, nothing will change in that I view this as the worst episode in TWD series, and one of the worst episodes Telltale has ever released.

  • 6/10 and that's being generous. Some ups, but mostly downs. I was laughing and scratching my head in confusion more than getting sad and invested.

  • Worse than Ties That Bind?

Way worse. Looking back, Ties That Bind would be around a 7.0 and 7.5 respectively.

    Worse than Ties That Bind?

  • 7/10. As final episodes go, it's not close to the first two seasons. Overall, it wrapped up this particular story nicely so I can't rate it poorly but it's a C rating for me. No more, no less.

  • Yeah apart from the flashbacks. Ties that Bind was decent way too short but it was ok and it all made logical sense but not in episode 5 the amount of characters disappearing, characters hating me for no reason, and characters acting like retards is just terrible.

  • I'd probably give it a 6.5/10. They haven't had a problem with delivering action sequences this season and the David-Javi dynamic continued to be my favourite thing they had, but it really just didn't do it for me this time around - especially for a finale. By the end it almost felt like the developers just wanted this whole thing to be over with in a hurry so they could go back to the main story with Clem.
