The direction they are taking Clementine

Hello everyone! This is my first post and if there happens to be another feed similar to this I am sorry, I did not have the patience to look for it. THIS IS ALSO CHALK FULL OF SPOILERS.

I wanted to discuss the inferred direction they are taking Clementine. With the death of Gabe (or he is at least a useless determinant now), Clem loses another potentially life-changing relationship. She is once again practically alone, with only Javier, who's relationship could only go so far. Although I do not mean to send the message that she needs a man to feel happy or good about herself, I feel like it would fit her charecter more if she had a strongly integrated "partner" in her life. In the story Telltale is portraying, she runs off to save her child, A.J., and gets a haircut that makes her honestly look more bad ass and independent than ever before. Was I the only one who though she looked like a mix of Ava and Jane? It is like she is becoming a similar charecter to Ava and I don't know how I feel about it. How do you gies think Telltale should handle who Clem spends her life with? Do you think they should create charecters that will stick around for 3-4 seasons? Or do you think it is healthier for her charecter development, and the franchise as a whole, to keep Clementine using different groups of people like plastic bags to be thrown away? That sounded a bit one sided but whatever, what do yall think.

On an unrelated note, I really didn't like Clementine's writing in Gabe's death scene. She was not nearly emotional enough, her eyes staring forward blankly while watching the plot unfold. She also is keen to all Gabe a dork. I know this is actually just an endearing name Clem gives him (not meant to be negative) but that is not what you call your dying friend, straight up. Doesn't make any sense and is immersion breaking. That was probably the most angering part for me, apart from David's impromptu death if you choose to help Kate with Richmond. The episode was overall very well written.

The last thing I wanted to discuss is the false significance of our choices making a difference in the ending of Season 3 Episode 5. Depending on your choices, either David dies, Gabe and David die, David and Kate die, or Kate dies. However, throughout the history of this franchise, determinant charecters (AKA chharecters that could have died in a previous episode) either get killed off without a second thought stupidly (Ava) or make no impact at all and become a meme (Conrad). Consequently, I chose to kill as many of the Garcias as possible, because I feel like their fates in episode 4/5 will not be nearly as honorable as their heart wrenching demises in episode 3. How do you all feel about my thinking? Should we keep them alive and hope for the best? Or do you agree with me and just put them out of their misery while they are still given the light of day by Telltale. Again, written with major bias but whateva haha.

Thanks for reading, hope it wasn't too long (I know it was).
