So how long until season 4?

How long do you all think it'll take for season 4 to come out? Hopefullynot fucking 3 years. More like HALVE a year at most.

    Yeah, I'm thinking 4.

    Let's calculate some shit.

    The gap between S1 and S2 = 1 year, the gap between S2 and ANF = 2.5 years, round that up and it's 3 years, but we're gonna round it down because... I'm rounding it down - this gives us 2 years. 1 + 2 = 3, but 1 + 3 = 4, so it should be 3 or 4 years.

---- Anyway, ignoring that shit up there:

They know how much hate ANF has gotten, I don't think it'll take 4 years. Maybe a year or two. Though, I'd love it if they actually worked on the game for those 2 years, instead of rushing it out in the last 2 months and rewriting the story multiple times (cough ANF).

  • it would be great to have it come out in less than a year but having a rough release date would be great too!

  • I think probably end 2018 to early 2019, maybe they rushed this season to do the next season I'm not sure, but they've already confirmed season 4 so I'm sure thy know what the story will be for the next one hopefully

  • Since Telltale is currently working on GotG, GoT S2, and maybe TftB S2, it's safe bet we'll get S4 of TWD either late 2018 or late 2019. Hell, maybe even early 2020.

  • I'm not sure this is exactly going to be a full "season" as people are immediately jumping to. This could be a DLC addition which they could make in under a year that's similar to the Michonne series or 400 days. Personally I don't see how/why they would drag out this finding AJ storyline for another full season especially since we know where he's at.

  • A year and a half since their other games aren't doing well.

  • They could have the first episode out in 3 months, if they really wanted to.

  • i expect a dlc. plus, an entire season should not take half a year to plan out.

under a year that's similar to the Michonne series or 400 days.

Don't forget, there was a 8 month waiting gap between "No Time Left" and 400 Days.

There was also a a year and a half waiting gap between "No Going Back" and the Michonne series.

So doing the math, I expect the DLC to be released either late December for its 1 year anniversary or late November.

  • Back then they didn't have the manpower they have now. Seeing how they were able to produce EP4&EP5 in a monthly manner means that they can more quickly and efficiently produce these episodes faster than previous installments. And they already have the general story and idea for the Clementine series planned out already which helps speeds things up as well. I suppose they could hold off until December since they like to release then, however that's only for seasons and not DLC which I believe this will be.

  • They only have one game currently being released and made that we know of.

  • That's true. I'm hoping for the DLC announcement around the summer. If not early Fall.

  • Somewhere in the rating/description for ANF it said "additional content not yet rated" which I'm paraphrasing, but that tells me that telltale possibly is already working on the Clementine series.

  • I hope so. Hopefully they don't end the series after the DLC. I'm sure Telltale can milk out one more season before deciding to end the series.

  • I think the reason A New Frontier took so long was because this is this is the first Walking Dead game on the new engine, so saying that, I think it will be March-April(2018)

  • Most likely we'll get a DLC in between then another season since that is how they typically build for another season.

  • So we can expect a DLC episode in like 7 or 8 months? And then another season added on?

  • I would say within the next 6 months we should get news about the Clementine series.
