How am I supposed to care for Javi's family if they're so incosistants?
Telltale said this game's purpose was to protect Javi's family but all of them (Except Mariana) fucked up things.
- Gabe said he wants to step up and become a man, yet he still made dumb decisions like throwing Javi under the bus for shootting Conrad, chose to stay with his dad who wanted to let Richmond residents die and when he knew and admitted he had such a bad temper and took the wheel which caused him and David to crash.
- Kate just can't shut the fuck up about her stupid romance on Javi. She either kisses Javi or tells him she couldn't believe she loved him in FRONT of David which caused him to flip. You didn't think it would piss David off more, you stupid bitch?
- They made David go selfish and get angry at us no matter how you treat him through this season. So much for "Make peace with David" according to Choices Trailer. He was my favourite character of this season until Episode 5.
Seriously, why there was no option to have all of them killed? Worst ending would have been a better ending for this game than the ones we got. They all suck and Mariana was the only member of Javi's family who didn't do anything wrong.

TT: Knock, knock?
AronDracula: Who's there?
TT: Bad writing.
It works if you're really attached to characters, you don't need a built-up to feel tension or gets emotional very easily (like you cry thinking about that ant that someone's stepped on), but other than that, the bad writing overwhelms everything this season. It's seen from miles away. Characters suddenly switching ideas, goals, even personality; inconsistent behavior and general chaos, all of that is making it impossible to get immersed or emotional.
There's hardly any atmosphere and you need to switch off your realism and logic detectors, because otherwise they would go insane.
I just don't get it. Why did they make them so incosistants if they want us to protect them?
I'm not quite sure what the focus of this thread is. If it's that all three characters made mistakes and/or did something you didn't like, that's not exactly an unusual detriment--that's life. And mispelled as it may be, David is the only one I'd personally say the title applies to.
Also, Mariana was the only member of Javi's family who wasn't "incosistants" and/or didn't do anything wrong because she was who Badger took out early on. Give her another episode and she'd start gangbangin more than Gabe.
I'm pretty sure their inconsistency is all determined by how you played.
To me, it was p clear.
Gabe is a hormonal teen with daddy issues. Yes, he wants to be a man, but he doesn't know how to be one, and his emotions get the best of him sometimes.
Kate definitely wants David to give up on her, and a love confession works p well. Plus, she's had the hots for Javi since she was still married.
David's hot-headed, you're likely to piss him off no matter what. Even is he's not pissed at Javi, he'd still probably freak out just with all the shit on his plate.
None of these sound especially unrealistic to me (David's a bit over-the-top but he seems to have a ton of issues).
keep in mind mariana didn't really have enough screentime to do anything wrong.
Yeah, David definitely bothered me quite a bit despite getting it.
