What would Javier be like as a NPC

Since there is a possibility of Javier returning in Clementines story and the player shaped his character in ANF How do you think telltale would handle his character/personality as a MOD.

  • Since for almost everyone he was really humorous he could be a pretty likeable supporting character that could help keep things light. In terms of what choices could affect his character... I suppose they could have him approve or disapprove of certain things depending on what you did with Badger and whatever you told Jesus in episode 5. I wouldn't expect anything huge if they went this route, just a few dialogue changes like "Not cool, Clem" or "I'm Javier Garcia and I approve this message!" if Clem like kicked a cripple or something. :p

  • He fits the good guy starting to accept the mantle of a leader persona. I don't see him being like "Rick the Undying", but I don't think he'd be as much of a pushover either.
If he were to come back and play a part in Richmond I think they'd handle him a lot like they handle other secondary characters, he'd be a person to influence and guide. I'd be really digging the "Clem as a right hand man(or is it woman)" angle.

  • Probably useless and he would get killed off after the first 5 minutes of episode 1.

  • Just realized autocorrect changed NPC

  • He'd probably be a more lighthearted version of Luke.

  • The same as when he was protagonist - bland.

  • He'd have the kindness of Luke, but the edge of... Lee? I don't know who else to compare him with. But I'd love to see him as an NPC.

  • I doubt Telltale would do that, after all that's happened in ANF.

  • Well that's one way to look at it.

  • I'm just not sure telltale would be able to give him a actual "character" opposed to making him generic or standard.

  • Well I feel like he's had positive reception mostly, so TT wouldn't just waste him as a character by making him standard. They'd most likely give him some real development, then maaaaaybe kill him off.

Or they'd be the shit company that they are and give him zero development and kill him off right away.

    :)

  • I don't think they'd make him a generic, bland NPC. There are certain traits that carry across for him, no matter who plays him. He's family oriented and in turn (usu) loyal and dutiful towards those closest to him, he's generally seen by the community as humorous and lighthearted, he develops a close friendship with Clem throughout the season and so the two would have a strong bond as well.

  • They would be able to give him alot more character as an NPC I feel, because what Clementine and Lee had different from Javier was the fact that their slates where clean, so whatever morals you decided for them was justifiable, however, Javier already had a ton of history, with flashbacks and predetermined relations, which meant that his morals was already alot more clear cut (wants to protect family, means he is generally a pretty good guy), whereas Lee you could play like a survival above all dickhead, or a middle ground

  • They'd make him his two basic traits, funny and sarcastic, because they'd be to lazy to include any of his more complex traits that you created for him throughout the season just as they did to Clem.
