(SPOILERS & SORRY) Venting about ANF

Before I start. Most of these points were probably brought up in other parts of the forum and I don't even think ANF is a "bad" game, but like most say, should have been DLC

For starters
-The game was centered around people I didn't care about, obviously I "like" most of the characters but it just didn't have an impact on me when I felt like any of them were in danger or died. The makers did say that this season was just checking in on Clementine so that's fair, but I found myself only playing through most parts to get to the 3min Clem flashbacks.

-This has been brought up an insane amount of times (With good reason) but these people have been on the road for 4 years and basically just act like a family that's been lost on a road trip. I imagine roads would be vacant/dangerous and cars would be loud meaning these people would be moving targets 24/7. They all seem too far away from the apocalypse mind-set and feel like tourists caught in a bad situation. You could argue that they'd have used the van as a mobile home, but roads are roads in the apocalypse, and we've witnessed how many roadblocks there've been throughout the seasons.

-I understand that these are warring settlements with food and ammo, but the whole game started feeling like an action movie midway through. I miss when the game was about sneaking around and making tough decisions for the survival of your group, but it became an all out guns blazing brawl. I mean there are literally times were you just mash X three times and Javi lands 3 consecutive running head shots. And no disrespect to Javi, but he literally just motorcycles through a horde of zombies, and from the rooftop view before this event the horde literally looks like a clump. Again, prior to all of this, these people are portrayed as being on the road for 4 years avoiding trouble but Javi just becomes some elite pistol warrior and stamina god with a baseball bat, literally knocking walker heads clean off.

-Gabe & Clem was the most forced relationship in the game (Maybe even top 3 of all time)... They've had literally 3-4 interactions with each other and have basically spent under a handful of days around each other but develop feelings. One of the endings literally includes the line "I thought I'd be alone. Then, I met you." That's something you say to someone you've been around for months, even years. I may just be acting like a disapproving "Father" after literally looking after Clem for 2 whole seasons. But realistically, this is kind of a slap to the face considering Clementine has lost countless people along the way and just has her love won over so easily. Puberty maybe?? Gabe isn't a bad character, and to be fair the people Clem's been with share more of a "family" bond and are clearly +10 years out of her age range, but making her have a crush on the first kid she hangs with that's even remotely her age is kinda sloppy.

In the end I enjoyed the game, and after playing masterpieces like Season 1 & 2 I can agree it would be hard to top, again, this is all just venting so sorry again!!!
