How would you like Clem's story to end?
Lets face it Clem's story is gonna end soon and if they milk it BADLY(thats a keyword right there), the series will die off a painful death leaving everyone with a bad taste in their mouth.
In my opinion I think ttg should end her story on a happy note. Make her settle down on peaceful settlement it doesn't exactly need to be Richmond, then she would leave her cap and other things that are important to her i.e Kennys hat, AJ's drawing etc in a shelve. Cuts to black then it shows the players various memorable events from past seasons. Pretty sure somewhere in the whole ending scene "Alive Inside" is playing maybe even continuous as it an iconic soundtrack for the series.

I agree with you that there isnt much story left to tell. A 2 maybe 3 episode DLC wrapping up the finding AJ storyline and thats it. I would like the ending to be determinant. And it shouldnt be the players choice but clementines.
We will get a new protagonist(someone from the ranch propably).
Clem will find AJ but as this is TWD soon everything will go to ****.
Clem and the Gang will be forced to flee and in the process AJ will get shot/bitten. The group will get cornered in a room but the player will find a way out.
Here Clementine will make her choice.
Ideally depending on choices all the way back to the season 1 ending.
1. (the "happy" ending)
All leave together with a last shot of the room showing AJ reanimating.
We get a small glimpse of the future showing that the group found a new more permanent home.
Hinting at a somewhat happier future.
2. (the "sad" ending)
The group is leaving but Clementine isnt coming the player asks her whats going on and she answers something along the lines of
"I cant loose anyone else not AJ I can run anymore. LEAVE!"
AJ was her last anchor. The last thing that kept her going she is done.
Walkers start flodding the room and she slaughters them one by one. The Player will be given 20 to 30 seconds to leave the room otherwise they will get killed.
The player will finally be forced to leave her behind.
The last shot will show AJ reviving behind Clem giving a clear indication what will happen next offscreen...
Cut to black clementine suite starts playing credits roll the end.
The reason Clem survived so long is not her superior strength or speed its her determination and resourcefulness.
No matter the odds she wont give up no matter the obstacles she will find a way.
The only way for the character to die is to give up. Depending on past choices clem will either have the strength to move on after AJs death or will do exactly that.
Additionally The idea of AJ, Clementines main reason to keep on living, delievering the killing blow to her both physically and mentally seems somewhat fitting.
I don't think her story is going to end anytime soon because there's still so much you can do with her character. Don't forget she's only 13, not 40. We can still see what she's capable of as an adult.
BUT if I were to decide how her story should end, I'd give her the 'alive' status, but she starts to wander alone. AJ is dead, she's too far away from Richmond, so she'll decide to survive on her own, opening up much possibilities in the near future. Hell, you can even headcanon she's dead.
It'll be sort of like a bittersweet ending to her story, but not her character.
I want her to live happy ever after with AJ tbh

Im probably up for an ending like that,
Tripping on a banana peal, breaking her neck.
:^D
Seriously tho, I doubt they'll be able to finish her story the way we want to.
Reposted a comment from years ago:
Clementine and a good group of survivors that have become her second family, finally find a community with a strong foundation, and is self sufficient in many ways for years to come. Clementine with AJ beside her and a couple of old acquaintances on a hilltop, looking out to the dawning of a new day. Maybe at Clementine's request have a statue or a moment dedicated to Lee Everett, the man who was an inspiration in her life and be remembered for all time.
So telltale breaks her neck because of a banana peal? Sounds like a telltale ending to me lmao
Since they are relatively close to the comic timeline now (and likely will be concurrent with it by the time season 4 or the dlc comes out) it wouldn't be that hard at all to just finish up her 'finding AJ' storyline and then put her in one of the existing communities as a background character in the comics. Or she could go to Oceanside or back to Richmond.
I saw in an interview with Robert Kirkman (dated just a few months ago) that bringing her into the comics is something they have talked about and he thinks it would be a cool idea. Things would need to get lined up though for it to happen and as of now there aren't any plans for it to happen anytime soon.
Here is a link to the video where he says it
Kirkman talks about the possibility of bringing in TellTale charactersj
Go to the 55 minute mark where he starts talking about that particular question. The fan asking the question mentions the tv show and not the comic but that would just be a matter of that fan either not knowing what universe the games take place in or perhaps just making a mistake.
I would like her to eventually lead a strong community that has massive walls and a lot of families...last thing we see of her is a scene where she is looking over her community from a tower or something and we see a sign....Welcome to Fort Lee.
