Do you think we should give Telltale a chance?
I don't think I would because we have been making criticism for Season 2 and they're still doing the same mistakes over and over again. The writers of the previous seasons have left Telltale. Because of A New Frontier, I've lost interest in their games and I'm not playing any of their other licensed franchises unless they make a sequel for Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us.

Didn't we already give them enough chances?
They don't deserve any more chances.
And I thought I was the only one who totally lost interest in the games of TT Hell I can't even watch them at YouTube I was about to watch ghostrobo game play of guardians of the galaxy ep2 but after an other thought I said nah.
I am losing every single feeling that makes once related to TT the only thing that was going to bring me hope was a game we wanted and waited for such as TWAOU or TFTBL or GOT but noTT just smashed every hope lasted in me.
Did Telltale ever truly listen to feedback about their games beside maybe rewriting over and over between episodes (which is not really a great thing IMO)?
It's half a legit question. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but many flaws from their games have been here since TWD Season 1. If anything, I'd say we have been really patient with them for a long time now. I feel people many stopped complaining because they're not buying their games anymore (see: lukewarm sales since a few games).
I'm with you.
As I said during ANF I am hopeful and optimistic going forward. I hope they make clementines story wonderful, however I'm not sure how likely that is.
People are acting like telltales done this 20 times it was just one series and they are definitely improving with Guardians of the Galaxy. So for me I still give them about 13 chances for crying out loud.
To me it wasn't just "one series" though. The Walking Dead is what gave them a big boost in popularity and is their most followed series. A New Frontier was not worth the nearly 3 year wait. I hope Telltale see this as a wake up call and realise what they need to do in order to improve and make up for what was missing in ANF. I respect the writers and everyone who worked on the game however and there is a part of me that believes they will do a better job next time.
I found ANF to be a big drop quality from S1/S2, but I did enjoy it. TTG seems to be paying more attention to criticism, they have a new CEO and are probably improving the management side of things, and they're already implementing feedback into GOTG. So yes, they are deserving of another chance.
I don't think we should expect quality on the same level as S1 though. I doubt Telltale will ever be able to match that. But I think if they do take in feedback and really work hard towards solving their problems, they could come up with content topping S2.
I want a s4 or better yet a true continuation for s3 so I would.
Eh, I mean, if I give them a chance, there is the chance I will get to play a good game, it might also be bad, but I look at it this way: If I dont give them a chance at all, I will with 100% certainty not experience a game at all, but if I do give them a chance, it might be good, in which case I will be happy I played, or it might be bad, in which case Ill just forget about it
Nope. We've given them a fresh chance since A New Frontier was announced and considering we've been waiting 3 years of a game to turn out like shite, I don't think they deserve another chance.
I mean, come on, Telltale barely put any effort into it and it was pretty obvious.
Sure, Guardians of the Galaxy is good from what I've seen, but considering The Walking Dead is Telltale's most famous franchise, they milked the fuck out of A New Frontier and made it seem like it has been released for the sole purpose of them earning money.
No. Telltale have gotten worse with The Walking Dead Games and they're on a road of bad mess ups. They don't even care about the writing, characters or story. They just know they'll make money no matter what they release at this point even if it is below average like A New Frontier.
why yes i do think we should give them a chance people are acting like every single telltale game after season 2 was bad ((The worst that happened was minecraft story mode and New frontier )) so yeah while they may have made some mistakes on recent games that doesnt mean that they cant do better its like people think Telltale is EA now or something.
Oh, I'll give an unlimited amount of chances for Telltale to make a great TWD game.
But will I buy another one if the quality is just as shit as ANF's was? No. I'll just watch a playthrough on YouTube.
The worst is blizzard
Yes, I still think they are capable of making great games, however I consider ANF a huge disappointment, so this time I'm gonna think twice before I buy their next game.
Second chance? Sure. The third one? Nope. Now or never, Telltale. I hope they can open their eyes to constructive criticism and understand that this season was just bad, instead of sweeping our opinions under the rug, which is extremely annoying when you're just trying to help and support them.
it was just an example.
Not sure about anyone else, but I've been giving them chances since the release of The Walking Dead Game Season 2, granted, their games such as Game of Thrones, Tales from the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us, Batman and now Guardians of the Galaxy have all managed to impress me, only the second and latest season of The Walking Dead are honestly the only big disappointments for me. So, in other words, I'll give them one final chance and hope they learn from their mistakes (they've had years to already).
They are counting on you all giving them extra chances. Long as they have that $$$.
I mean what's next? 7 years for 30 minute episodes? lol With Clem getting bit at the premier?
Criticism of the game is okay, but don't make personal comments towards the writers like that.
It's a video game, it's literally 20 to 30 dollars.
Voice your concerns, wait for release, and check it out. Don't like it? Don't buy it.
You are going to give them another chance. I bet 100 dollars. You guys with " Telltale screwed up. I'm not going to give them another chance" are the worst. We all know that each and every last one of you are going to buy the next installment or stream it.
Nah not me I give you my word no more TT games for me till they fix them self.
I already didn't buy gurdians of the galaxy I don't care any more about what this company offer to me any more.
Never. You don't even know me. I'm going to watch the first episode instead of playing it myself. And I just promised myself I won't any of their other franchises ever again. I don't even know what happens in GOTG Episode 2 cause I don't give a shit.
If I said anything nice about them, then they'd just keep screwing it up.
I might buy it after its complete and on a game of the year disc. But only if it wins game of the year. Playing it episodically has been really sub par. THe amount of glitches and straight up shitty graphics that came through this game in 2017 is just unacceptable. I can buy my daughter a My Little Pony game and get more enjoyment watching her play it then I did fromor the whole season. ASk CApcom how many RE game I bought after RE6 came out. None, and I own every Version of all the previous RE titles. THis is how the market place works, I don't buy shit I can't depend on. TellTale can only be depended on to grab up some new franchise and exploit it too. Keep you hundred bucks kiddo. What do you mean stream it? like on Steam?
I bought Resident Evil 7 which was amazing. Capcom did it better than Telltale.
We voiced our concerns about Season Two, and they answered that by ignoring literally all of our criticisms and suggestions and making a worse game. It's pretty clear that at least upper management does not give a single shit about quality, and want to pump out rushed, short episodes once a month and abuse their own staff. Almost every Glassdoor review says that they feel all the creative teams are very passionate and hardworking, but that the higher ups have them in constant crunch and they don't even care what they're doing. It's extremely telling that this isn't a creative problem, it's a business problem. The only way we can solve this is by voting with our wallets, cause it's the only language the corporate types speak. I personally have not picked up GOTG, won't pick up Minecraft and will not be pre-ordering the continued Clem story, as I have for every TWD game since Season One. I've realised I'm part of the problem. If you guys have a problem with this, you need to stop supporting them.
don't preorder the game, just wait and see if the quality is good enough. i hope that their sales show telltale that they really have to improve, guardians hasn't been doing well whatsoever and a new frontier had the worst sales of all of the main series walking dead games they've produced. i hope that the quality will be up to par with previous seasons, but i won't necessarily expect it.
Hell no, I'm done buying more Telltale games. I don't even know why I'm still on the forums, so many have abandoned or been banned and it's just not the same anymore.
I know you are a talker...and you are still here...so that either makes you a liar...or a troll with nothing better to do than hang around the boards of a company you are not going to support any more. So either way you look bad.
I would argue that no...they did listen...just to the wrong damn things...people complained about playing an 11 year old girl....FIXED!!!
Try harder, kiddo.
A troll says what?
If I was a troll, I would have told you to fuck off.
what was RE 5 and 6 like...never played them.
Well I was going to give them another chance right until they revealed fucking Minecraft Season 2.
Now I'll just wait for TWAU S2 if that ever releases.
They ditched the survival horror genre and turned into action. No puzzles, no safe rooms, no lack of ammo etc. Resident Evil 5 is good game only if you play it with a friend but Resident Evil 6 is nothing but a Michael Bay game full of plot holes, terrible character development, movie/game rip-offs, terrible enemies and a lot of explosions.
Good thing you gave Capcom a chance
